Your Dog's Staycation w/ Backyard!
I have watched many dogs, from my neighbor's senior, deaf, blind dog who requires twice daily medication, to a set of 12-week littermate puppies. I have my own small, senior dog and I am also a flight nanny, transporting puppies in-flight to their new owners, so I am very familiar with the needs of puppies. I specialize in small/ medium-sized dogs, especially puppies and seniors but I love them all!

Carolyn was absolutely wonderful with Walter! From the very beginning, she was warm, communicative, and clearly very experienced with dogs. She made drop-off incredibly easy and immediately put us at ease about leaving him with someone new. She kept us updated and sent photos, which we really appreciated, and it was so reassuring to see how quickly Walter settled in and was having a good time. It was obvious he was comfortable, well cared for, and getting plenty of attention. We felt completely confident having Walter with Carolyn and wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a thoughtful, reliable, and genuinely caring sitter!

We have hired Carolyn several times now, for long and short trips, and she has been wonderful every time. This last time was over two weeks, during which our dog had a minor medical issue. Carolyn informed us of the issue, kept us updated while she took our pup to the vet to get checked out, and actually managed to get her to take her medication. Doing great now! We are so grateful for the great care and attentiveness. 10/10 definitely recommend!

Carolyn took great care of Woody during Holidays and from the moment I contacted her to the end of Woody's stay, Carolyn was super responsive. She also had flexibility to extend the stay due to a flight issue I had on my way back home. Woody arrived home clean and looks like he enjoyed the stay as he was happy and healthy. Woody also loved the Christmas' toy she gave him. Thank you so much, Carolyn!

Schedule
I own my own business and work from home. As such, I spend a lot of my spare time getting in steps and giving dogs a lap to sleep on. Please no pickup/ drop off requests outside of 8am-8pm. If you have an early or late travel itinerary, you are welcome to drop off the evening before departure or morning after arrival.

Safety, trust & environment
I prefer dogs be crate trained unless there is no concern leaving them unattended for short periods of time without having accidents or being destructive. I typically specialize in boarding smaller dogs. Dogs larger than 30 lbs will be considered, but I cannot accept large dogs who are unruly, have escaping tendencies, digging tendencies or who may harm the smaller animals with rough play. Thanks for understanding! Note: I am available for pickup and dropoff and can provide a quote based on your location. Please let me know if you’d like that option and I can provide a cost quote for the additional service Should the rare need for a veterinary visit arise, the standard charge for time and transportation is $100 so we can make sure your pup is happy and healthy during their stay.

A typical day
I’m an early riser and love to start and end my day with a nice walk, especially along Lake Washington or to the local dog park, with the owner's permission of course! Since I work from home, dogs get a lot of potty breaks and attention. When it's nice outside, they can play in the backyard while I'm working outside!

- Let me know if your dog has any special needs , behaviors, or medications. If they get along well or need to be separated from other dogs I can easily adjust as appropriate. Tipping is fantastic, though a great review mis just as meaningful, even if you've left one before! But just for reference, Rover takes 20% of all costs from bookings. Ex: If you're paying your sitter $100 for a full time housesit, your sitter gets $80. Tips go 100% towards your sitter, no matter who you choose.
