Pet lover & experienced dog walker

Pet care experience

I’m the person at parties who you find sitting on the ground making BFFs with whatever furry creatures live in the house. I love animals and will bring all that care and love for your furbabies! Grew up with cats & dogs (& fish if that counts?), currently own 2 big goofball rescue pitties, and spent a year doing professional dog-walking in Washington DC for pups of all sizes and ages.

Carolyn was so great, our drop-in went really smoothly! Carolyn goes above and beyond in caring for our sensitive dog. She's knowledgeable in dog behavior and is well-prepared. We'd for sure recommend her!

Carolyn did such a great job with our sensitive & reactive dog! She was really patient and flexible in doing our special protocol for when people meet our dog, and she's been great about paying attention to detailed instructions on how best to interact with our sensitive guy. She's been very thoughtful and proactive in asking questions about caring for him, too. Definitely recommend!

Safety, trust & environment

My personal and professional pet care experience is focused on patience and positive reinforcement (along with lots of love and pets and scritches, of course). My own rescue pups came with their own baggage and reactivity issues (one with dogs, one with people) that we continue working on, and it’s been so important to us to have good, reliable dog sitters and walkers who are adaptable to the needs of our pups, so I understand the value of that approach. I think the most important thing is getting a good background on your pup’s needs and I’ll meet them where they are to make sure they feel comfortable and are safe while in my care.

Information Carolyn B. would like to know about your pet

Likes, dislikes, reactivities, health challenges, daily routines, favorite toys :) Anything you feel is important to be able to give your pet a great experience and ensure they’re safe!

A typical day

Totally depends on what your pets like to do! If they’re more the snuggly type, we can do a quick potty break and spend lots of time snuggling and giving affection. If they’re big sniffers, I’m happy to do a slow stroll and let them take in all the scents to their heart’s content. If they’re higher-energy, there’s nothing like a solid game of fetch, a long brisk walk, or some training exercises to get them a good mental workout. Happy to follow your guidance on what they like best.
