I work from home so am with the dogs all the time. They play wherever they want and we head out for walks on my breaks. I love to take pictures of dogs. Weekends are for the outdoors and movies with snuggles!

I have a fenced yard and one friendly, playful dog. My yard is escape proof thanks to my dog, Chuck -- an escape artist. I have two dog doors for easy access to the backyard and back into the house. Dogs are welcome on all furniture -- even encouraged.

Information Carolyn B. would like to know about your pet
I'd love to know about your dog's personality and preferences for a fun day. I'd like to know what really sets them off both positively and negatively. Do they fetch? Do they have any health conditions (e.g., arthritis) that I need to be aware of so they don't overdo? Do they come when they're called? This is very important because I like to hike with them and coming when called is a must or they miss out on a hike. No lost dogs!
A typical day
Magnuson Park, mostly, and around the neighborhood. If it is OK with you, I love taking dogs on hikes in the Cascades. Magnuson can be too much for some dogs so we head for laps at North Acres. It is more peaceful and stresses the dog out less.

Pet care experience
Fellow dog people! I am accepting new clients again! I hope you join our happy pack. I’m a fun-loving person who prefers dogs to people. but I love people too. I feel I've "won" with my pups when I've tired them out. It is a glorious feeling and I gloat when I've accomplished it. I am a very physically active person and enjoy hiking, xc skiing and snow shoeing. All those things are better with dogs on trails no one knows about! Magnuson is my favorite dog park in the city limits but -- depending on the owner and dog -- other adventures may await in the Cascades. Dogs make me happy. I love talking to dogs and watching their little ears perk up. They always make me laugh and ground me to the important things in life: treats, walks, friends, play, snuggling and food. Because I have had the honor of owning dogs for so long, I understand the physical and emotional needs of dogs and that they are complicated. I can handle the down time of just being with one another, administering medication (including shots), massage, pills, and when they want to just be silly and/or sweet. I take dogs as they are and love them for their uniqueness. I am not a strong disciplinarian. At all. If you want that, I'm not the right person. If your dog needs constant supervision, I'm not the right person. I'm home all day with them and encourage play and check on them but I'm not lurking in their space 24/7. I love it when they play and then nap next to me. I want dogs to come when they're called, not to bark too much and to not be overly aggressive with other dogs or people (although I know how to work around that, if need be). I have one dog of my own, Chuck. Every dog in my house (my own and guests) get special attention from me that is all our own. We're all part of the same pack for sure, but everybody needs to feel noticed and appreciated as well. And I always let them know their owner loves them and misses them but we're on vacation for fun until their humans return! It would be an honor to care for your dogs diligently with plenty of pictures and reports to you on their days while away from you. I provide you pictures daily -- even if I know you may not get them each single day due to cell coverage issues. I want to be accountable to you so you know I'm caring for your dog every single day with the love and attention they deserve. Thanks for considering me! Carolyn
Reviews

Our dog Ernie came home happy and exhausted from playing all weekend! Carolyn was super communicative and sent great photos.

Carolyn did a wonderful job, our little princess was happy when we picked her up which is EVERYTHING! Highly recommend.

If you want a dog caregiver who is attentive to both your dog’s and your needs, definitely hire Carolyn! Not only did our dog get excellent care throughout the day, we received regular communication & photos/videos to see firsthand. Very comforting for us & made being away easier. The daily trips to the dog park for off leash walks & socializing were greatly appreciated. We liked that there were other dogs (no more than 3-5 total) in the house for company & play without it being overwhelming. The dogs have free rein of the house & yard at all times and are never crated (unless requested). Our dog came home happy & content. We highly recommend Carolyn!

Carolyn was a fantastic sitter for Sadie. She was patient with a nervous dog and was curled up with her by the first night. Took her to the park, communicated with us throughout, and was really understanding when we were delayed picking up. Thank you Carolyn!
