Safety, trust & environment

I will only ever walk one dog at a time (unless multiple dogs in household) so that they can receive my complete attention. I have a lot of experience in animal first aid from my previous job as a veterinary nurse. When looking after others pets I will always have my phone on me so that I am always contactable, and I will provide regular updates. I also have a full, clean driving license and a large car with secure dog crate and dog seatbelts if transport is required.

Information Caroline T. would like to know about your pet

Dogs: Does your dog walk well on the lead? Is your dog reactive to anything? (other dogs, cats, cars etc) - this will let me know the best place to walk them Does your dog have good recall? What treats does your dog like? Does your dog have any medical conditions/previous injuries? Cats; Does your cat like attention/cuddles? Do you have a cat flap/will your cat have access to outside? What treats does your cat like? Does your cat have any medical conditions?

A typical day

I understand that with dogs and cats mental stimulation is just as important as physical. On walks we’ll play plenty of games and do some training as well as taking time to smell and explore the area. For drop in visits for dogs we’ll play games, do some training and have lots of cuddles, and for cats they will have lots of cuddles, games and a brush if requested.

Former Registered Veterinary Nurse

Pet care experience

*please note - I am not currently able to take on any brand new dog walks* Before having my children I was a Registered Veterinary Nurse including being a Head Nurse at a practice in the North West and had over 10 years experience working in Veterinary practices. I therefore have had training in Pet First Aid, animal handling, animal behaviour, administering medication and animal nutrition. I also have a degree in Zoology from the University of Leeds. I have grown up around animals and I currently have a 7 year old Shetland Sheepdog and a senior rescue cat at home. As part of my previous jobs I also previously hand reared abandoned kitten litters and set up puppy parties, so I have experience with animals of all ages. I am currently available for dog walks of different lengths, dog drop in visits, cat drop in visits and small furries. I have a large car with a crate and dog seat belts if required. For my cat or dog drop in visits I will happily do additional tasks such as taking the bins out, watering plants etc on top of the standard drop in requirements.

Had peace of mind on my holiday as Caroline sent pictures of puss playing happily with her toys. Everything left tidy and clean in the cat department when I returned - dishes, litter tray etc. Would recommend.

Caroline walked my dog for a week. She is always cheerful and has a good rapport with my dog. He is always pleased to see her , happy to go on the walk, and really happy after the walk. I know he has enjoyed his time with Caroline. Thanks Caroline
