Availability
We go outside first thing in the morning, then breakfast. Potty breaks and/or walks throughout the day if they can walk on a leash (shorter outings when it's too hot). We may go on a longer walk in the evening, then dinner. One more potty break before bedtime. During the day, I assess their energy levels and we play if they feel up to it. They always get cuddles according to their needs (some want more than others!) There are plenty of spots to nap: couch, chairs, blankets/mats on the floor. Night time is spent in their own bed in our bedroom or one of my boys' bedroom. Depending on the dog and their own habits, they may be allowed in my son's bed.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a play pen that also works as a gate and a crate that I can use for safety or comfort. Pets do not go out of the house unleashed, unless it's in the fenced backyard. I do stay with them when in the backyard.

Information Caroline O. would like to know about your pet
I need to know if they are potty trained outside; pee pads have shown to be confusing about where a dog should go to the bathroom. I also want to make sure they can be left alone with no issues for a few of hours. I am home during the day on weekdays, but we may have more outside activities on weekends, and there is always the occasional errand to run. Everything else, I ask during the meet-and-greet: their routine/schedule, their special needs if any, their favorite thing to do, etc.
A typical day
It depends on the energy level of the dog, they take the lead! If they're young and high energy, we play fetch/tug a war, and go on walks, depending on the weather. If they'd rather sleep all day, they're welcome to find a spot on the couch or at my feet while I work. They will get talked to a lot during the day and if I have to go out for a bit, I make sure I show how excited I am to see them again when I return (they usually feel the same!) Every pup parent gets pictures and updates about twice a day, or as needed :-)

Pet care experience
We are a family of four, with my fiancé and two teenage boys, all dog lovers! Our environment is very chill and homey, and not kennel-like at all. I realize how hard it is to leave a family member in the care of strangers and I want to make the experience as comfortable as possible! I work from my home full time, so we can easily care for a dog in our home. I really enjoy talking to pets, and yours will feel included in our family. We do potty breaks about every 2 hours or as needed. Our house sits on >1/2 acre, all fenced, so there is a lot of space to run around and sniff. I also take dogs on walks in our quiet neighborhood (if their health allows), as it's always fun to discover new smells and sights!
