Safety, trust & environment

I have a large fenced garden, and our home is twenty footsteps from Banstead Common, so great walks are on our doorstep. All fur babies will be treated as family members whilst staying in our home and are allowed on the sofa and bed (unless you say otherwise). I can easily crate your dog if needed, or they can have a free run of the house and make themselves at home. I’ll be guided by your and your dogs’ wants and needs. My three friendly dogs (a 6-year-old Golden Retriever, a 6-year-old Border Collie, and a 1-year-old cockapoo) will keep your fur baby company, or I can separate them if necessary. We also have many toys and games to keep your pup occupied and make their time away from you as comfortable as possible.

Information Caroline H. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know if your dog has any special needs or behaviours. I’d also like to know about dietary requirements, likes and dislikes, fears and triggers. I have vast experience with anxious and reactive dogs and would happily help you with these issues. I’m also experienced with all ages - senior dogs and puppies, and adolescents.

A typical day

Spending time with animals isn’t a job; it’s a pleasure. I encourage dogs to play and learn through play. We’ll play games that suit your dog's age, fitness, breed and personality. We’ll go for sniff walks, training walks, off-leash walks – whatever you and your humans prefer. Then we’ll settle down with a yummy chew and some cuddles. We're lucky enough to live a stone's throw from open countryside where your dog will be walked daily, solo or with one of my pack.

Qualified trainer & sitter who understands dogs

Pet care experience

My guiding principle is "See the Dog," a vital lesson I learned during my enlightening studies of canine behaviour with the esteemed trainer Suzanne Clothier. Every dog is a unique individual with specific needs that deserve attention and care. That’s why I would be thrilled to meet your beloved fur baby! With a wealth of experience caring for dogs and cats, I’ve honed my skills and knowledge through courses such as "Pet First Aid and CPR." Additionally, I proudly hold a distinction in the "Dog Walking and Pet Home Sitting Professional Diploma." My enthusiasm for understanding canine communication shines through in my coursework on dog body language, including "Learn to Talk Dog" with Sarah Whitehead and "Observation Skills One and Two" with Suzanne Clothier. You can have peace of mind knowing I am fully DBS-checked and insured! As a dedicated pet caregiver, I have established myself as a trusted provider of safe and compassionate care. The insights gained from my dogs and the rewarding experience of caring for others' pets have significantly enhanced my understanding of their needs. I possess practical experience handling dogs with various challenges, including bite histories, noise sensitivities, obsessive-compulsive behaviours, and separation anxiety. If you need training assistance, I am eager to help. I am passionate about continued professional development and have enrolled in further training through 2025. For me, dogs and cats are not merely pets but cherished family members. You can rest assured that I will treat your beloved companions with the love, compassion, and kindness they genuinely deserve.

Caroline & Steve always take such good care of Lando, look after him like he’s one of their own and he is always so relaxed and happy when I collect him!

Caroline was great, on time can tell she really cares about what she does. Did a meet and greet before so bentley could meet her before the drop in. Bentley can be shy with new people but he took to her well and I would definitely book Caroline again.

Caroline came to look after Mabel for the day whilst we were at a wedding and it was a huge relief to leave Mabel in such good hands. As Mabel is a nervous and anxious dog, we’ve been apprehensive about leaving her but Caroline came for two meet and greets before the day and made us and Mabel feel at ease very quickly! Thank you, Caroline, for doing such a good job and we really enjoyed getting the pupdates throughout the day. Would book Caroline in again in an instant!

Caroline is fantastic with our anti-social dog! She makes him feel comfortable and safe and we can relax knowing he’s being looked after well. I would highly recommend Caroline.
