I was in a bit of a pinch needing to find an in-home sitter who could be with my almost 17 year old chihuahua about 90% of the day since she was only two weeks into healing from a dislocated hip. I came across Caroline and Gavin on Rover, and I’m so glad I did. They were able to provide the round-the-clock care Khloe needed and gave me such peace of mind while I was away. They sent daily updates and pictures, which I loved, and they went above and beyond by cleaning up, refreshing the house, and even taking out the trash—none of which I asked for or expected, but it was so appreciated! The only hiccup was that two of my cameras were unplugged without being communicated to me at the time. Once I discovered them unplugged when I returned home, I reached out and we talked, but I do wish that communication had been up front instead of prompted. That said, I truly felt Khloe was in excellent hands the whole week, and I’m grateful for the love and attention Caroline and Gavin gave her!

Couldn’t ask for more! Caroline and Gavin did an outstanding job caring for our two pups! Great communication and a sincere love of dogs. And bonus…our house was in great shape after being gone for nearly 10 full days! We will definitely use them again! Book them - you won’t be disappointed! Jenn and Andy Chase

I truly can't say enough GREAT things about Caroline and Gavin. I have a senior dog (14), a nervous, high anxiety dog (5) and a brand new kitty. I have always been nervous about leaving my home and animals and this was the first vacation that I truly enjoyed because I knew everything was being taken care of. Great communication and tons of pictures to show how great my animals were doing. It is so nice being able to leave and know your animals get the same (and maybe even better!!) care! 5 stars!!

This is a very difficult review to write. We found Caroline and Gavin to be friendly, responsive, comfortable with our dogs, respectful of our home and generally very nice people. Our difficulty is that they left our 15 week old puppy inside his kennel for more hours than we had requested and for what is appropriate for a puppy. Before I hired them, they assured me that they were equipped to handle the care of a puppy since they both work from home. I left them with very detailed information about the puppy’s schedule and expectations for their stay. They were at our home for 3 days before we figured out what was going on. We had recently gotten a free security camera and decided it would be fun to install it in the large kennel which is built in to our home. When I noticed on the third evening that the puppy was very restless despite the late hour, I looked back at the day’s footage to see if I could figure out what was going on. That’s when I figured out how long he had been in there that evening and the one prior. What most concerned me was that they left him in the kennel from 7 PM to 7:10 AM (with a short 9 minute break) and 11 hours and 15 minutes straight the following night. This included the block of time in the evenings we specifically asked for him to have time with them to play and socialize. We decided to cut our trip short by 3 days, informed Caroline and Gavin that we were returning home, and asked them to be packed up and ready to leave. Though money is not the issue here, we allowed them the chance to compensate for this situation, and they chose not to discount the three nights’ charges, which were $180/night. We believe they did not provide service commiserate with the fees they charged, and we expected them to change the fee accordingly. My instinct is they would be very good caretakers for adult dogs; they either didn’t have the knowledge or time to properly accommodate the needs of a young pup.

Caroline and Gavin did a fantastic job in taking care of our dogs as well as our house. They took great care of our dogs with walking, playtime and belly rubs. They were respectful of our home and left the house in excellent shape. Daily communication was excellent. We were able to enjoy our time away without wondering or having concerns as to how things were going. We would highly recommend them for house / dog sitting.

We recently moved to the Raleigh area and were so lucky to find Caroline & Gavin on Rover and available for the weekend we needed care for our 2 dogs. We needed to be out of town for the weekend for our daughter’s wedding. Caroline & Gavin gave us numerous updates over the weekend and sent pictures. We felt so comfortable having them in our home caring for our dogs. We were able to relax and really enjoy the wedding without worry. One of our dogs is very nervous and unsure around new people. Caroline & Gavin were so calm and patient with her. They left our house in perfect condition too! We will definitely use them again!
