Pet care fits very naturally into my daily routine since I work from home and am able to be present throughout the day. I’m already used to a structured schedule that includes feeding, playtime, outdoor time in our fenced yard, and of course plenty of cuddles and attention. Because I’m home most of the time, I’m able to provide consistent supervision and companionship, making sure pets feel comfortable, safe, and included in the daily rhythm of our home. I build my day around their needs—whether that’s regular potty breaks, exercise, play sessions, or simply relaxing close by. On a weekly basis, pet care is a normal and joyful part of our household. With two young children and our own pets, creating a loving, pet-friendly environment is already part of our lifestyle. Adding another pet into that routine feels seamless, and I make sure each one gets individualized attention, care, and comfort while they’re with us.

About Caroline F.

Safety, trust & environment

In my home, pets are treated like part of the family. Since I work from home, I’m able to provide consistent supervision, companionship, and care throughout the day. I stick closely to their normal routine for feeding, potty breaks, exercise, and rest to help them feel comfortable and secure. Pets have access to a fully fenced yard for safe outdoor time, along with plenty of indoor space for play, relaxation, and cuddles. I also make sure they receive lots of individual attention so they feel right at home. My goal is to provide a safe, loving, and low-stress experience where your pet feels comfortable, cared for, and happy until you return.

Information Caroline F. would like to know about your pet

I always like to learn as much as possible about each pet ahead of time so I can provide the best care possible and help them feel comfortable right away. Some important things I ask about include their daily routine (feeding schedule, potty breaks, and sleep habits), energy level, and personality—whether they’re more active, shy, or love attention. I also like to know about any special needs, such as medications, dietary restrictions, or health concerns, as well as any past experiences that might affect their behavior. Understanding how they interact with children, other pets, and new environments is especially important in my home so I can make sure everyone stays safe and happy. Additionally, I ask about their favorite toys, treats, and comfort routines (like where they usually sleep or if they like blankets or cuddles) so I can make their stay feel as familiar and stress-free as possible. Clear communication is really important to me, and the more I know upfront, the better I can tailor their care and give owners peace of mind while they’re away.

A typical day

I like to make sure every pet has fun in a way that matches their personality and energy level. For more active pets, we’ll enjoy playtime in the yard, games like fetch, and plenty of opportunities to burn off energy with zoomies or interactive toys. For pets who prefer a calmer pace, I’m all about creating cozy moments—think relaxing together, belly rubs, brushing, and lots of cuddle time. I also love keeping pets mentally engaged with toys, enrichment activities, and one-on-one attention. Because I work from home, pets are included in the rhythm of our day, whether that’s lounging nearby, getting extra affection, or enjoying supervised outdoor time. I always aim to make them feel comfortable, happy, and loved—like they’re on their own little vacation while you’re away. And of course, I’m happy to tailor activities to what your pet enjoys most, so they feel right at home and have a great time!

Pet care experience

I’ve been caring for animals for most of my life, starting as a devoted cat mom and later becoming a dog mom as well. Growing up in a military family, I was often trusted to care for the pets of other military families while they were away. That early responsibility taught me not only the basics of pet care, but also how important it is to provide comfort, consistency, and love when their owners can’t be there. As a pet parent myself, I’ve experienced both the deep joy and the heartbreak that comes with loving our fur babies. I’ve watched my own pets grow, thrive, and eventually say goodbye—experiences that have given me a deep understanding of the trust you place in someone when you leave your pet in their care. I’ve even supported one of my own through a battle with cancer, providing attentive, compassionate care every step of the way. I work from home, which allows me to be present and attentive for most of the day. Your pets won’t be left alone for long stretches—they’ll have plenty of supervision, interaction, and comfort throughout their stay. I also have a welcoming home with a fully fenced yard and two young children (ages 4 and 16 months) who are gentle, loving, and already learning how to respectfully interact with animals. Together, we create a warm, family-oriented environment where pets can feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. Because of these experiences, I treat every pet as if they were my own—with patience, attentiveness, and genuine affection. Whether your pet needs playtime, cuddles, routine care, or a little extra support, you can feel confident knowing they are in loving, capable hands while you’re away.

Caroline is an incredibly responsible and loving pet caregiver. She has always taken excellent care of her own pets, as well as the pets of others, treating each one as if they were her own. She makes sure every pet has everything they need—from proper food, exercise, and routines to comfort, affection, and attention. Caroline is very thoughtful about both the physical and emotional needs of animals, and it truly shows in how happy and well-cared-for they are in her care. I would confidently recommend Caroline to anyone looking for a reliable, compassionate, and trustworthy pet sitter.
