From a young age, my passion for animals ignited and has only grown stronger over the years. I've had the privilege of fostering numerous dogs through Freedom Dog Rescue, where I also became the Lead Adoption Coordinator in 2021. Volunteering with the Ottawa Humane Society allowed me to spend quality time walking dogs and honing my skills. For years now, we've welcomed dogs into our home and managed a doggie daycare & home boarding service. My commitment goes beyond professionalism; it's deeply personal. I've rescued animals of various kinds, from cats and dogs to ferrets. I've provided geriatric care for pets with diverse ailments, including diabetes, anxiety, and osteoarthritis. We would be honored to care for your cherished family member. When they're with us, they become a part of our extended family. They'll receive the same love, respect, and care as if they were our own. Your pet's well-being and happiness are our top priorities.

Caroline and Alex made us feel very welcome and took the time to answer any questions that I had given that this was my first time leaving my dog with someone. Even though I said I didn't need any pictures, they still sent me some, which I found very comforting. Lots of smiles and very friendly family.
Caroline and the family took such great care of my quirky little boy! The photos that were shared showed him smiling 🥰 I will certainly ask for their services again in the near future!!

Caroline & Alex (and family) took care of our dog Boise while we were away for a week over March break. It was important to us that Boise's regular routine/environment be replicated, as this was the first time he would be away from us for an extended time. Caroline & Alex's family was the perfect fit; off-leash dog walks in the woods, children to snuggle with after school, and furry friends to hang out with. They are true dog lovers and so welcoming. We received daily check-ins and pictures and could see how much fun Boise was having. Caroline was always quick to get back to any questions and made us feel truly confident. We feel so lucky to have found them and will not hesitate to use them again moving forward.

We recognize the anxieties that can arise when parting with your cherished pet. Therefore, our goal is to provide a warm and inviting 'home away from home' experience. Whether your dog is accustomed to sleeping in a crate or snuggling on a bed, we replicate their familiar setup to ensure their utmost comfort. During both day and overnight stays, your dog will enjoy two revitalizing walks along wooded trails nearby, each lasting a minimum of 20 minutes. These nature walks are an integral part of our services, promoting your pet's well-being. Our yard is also spacious and fully fenced allowing for lots of "zoomies" and safe outdoor play. Before you commit to any of our services, I extend an invitation for a complimentary trial. This gives you the opportunity to ascertain if my environment is the perfect match for your furry companion. My household includes my husband as well as two children who have grown up around animals, cultivating a serene and respectful demeanor in their interactions with your pets. Additionally, our own rescued cats and dogs enrich the welcoming atmosphere we provide.

A typical day
Each day begins with a refreshing stroll along a nearby wooded trail, a peaceful escape nestled near my home. It's a time for our furry friends to embark on a sniffari, discovering an array of intriguing scents that ignite their curiosity. During our walks, we often encounter fellow dogs, turning each outing into a social adventure. Back at home, the dogs can revel in playful moments either indoors or within our expansive fenced yard. Our yard is a hub of entertainment as we nourish a lively community of squirrels and birds, offering the dogs endless amusement. We take pleasure in engaging the dogs' minds through games of catch, tugging, or basic obedience training paired with rewarding treats. Later in the day, we set out for another forest exploration, a chance to immerse ourselves once again in the wonders of nature. Rain or shine, our spirits remain undaunted, as we relish spending ample time in the great outdoors.
