Lifelong Dog Lover & Experienced

Caring for dogs isn’t something I “started doing” it’s how I was raised. I grew up in a home with multiple dogs of all sizes and temperaments, from small companion breeds to large and working dogs. I understand pack dynamics, body language, and the subtle signals dogs use to communicate when they’re stressed, uncomfortable, playful, or need something different. That kind of intuition only comes from a lifetime of living closely with them. I have hands-on experience with every life stage. I’m a volunteer puppy raiser for Canine Companions, where I raised and trained a future service dog in basic obedience, structure, and social confidence. I am comfortable reinforcing training, maintaining consistency, and helping young dogs build good habits. I have also cared for senior dogs, including my own 14-year-old dog Jack, who I adored and miss so much, he taught me patience, gentleness, and attentiveness that older dogs require. I am very familiar with mobility limitations, slower routines, and recognizing early signs of discomfort. I have experience caring for sick dogs, administering medications, changing bandages, and managing vet visits. I stay calm, attentive, and compassionate in situations that require extra care. I have fostered German Shepherds and feel confident handling strong, intelligent, high-energy working breeds that need structure, exercise, and mental engagement. In addition, I run a nonprofit organization that develops animal-assisted intervention programs in hospitals and clinics for hospitalized patients. This work has deepened my understanding of canine behavior, emotional regulation, training standards, and the responsibility that comes with working with dogs in sensitive environments. Beyond skills and experience, what truly sets me apart is my heart. I’ve loved and lost dogs who were family, and I understand how much trust it takes to leave your dog with someone. I care for every dog as if they were my own, with structure, safety, affection, and deep respect for who they are.

I had an absolutely wonderful experience with Carolina. She was incredibly caring, kind, respectful, and clearly very experienced with animals. My dog felt comfortable, happy, and well cared for from the very beginning. Communication was excellent throughout, and I truly appreciated the professionalism and attention to detail. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing my baby was in such capable and loving hands. We would highly recommend her to anyone looking for exceptional pet care.

Carolina absolutely loves animals. She loves dogs. She actually trains animals for hospitals for pet therapy. She has the biggest heart. She is so sweet, kind and loving. She is outgoing and loves to be active. Any pet would be lucky to have her take care of them.

I would trust Carolina with my most loved companion. She has a love for Dogs and Pets that reflects decades of interaction with multiple breeds which has developed in her making this a key component of her life. Carolina sees her pets and dogs as family members who represent everything that is good and loving in this world. She is the founder of a Non for profit that helps train dogs for healthcare and special needs, which makes her an expert in dog behaviour, focusing on compassion and care. If there was only one choice I had for someone to care for my Dogs, I cannot imagine anyone more perfect to do so.

Carolina is an absolute animal lover! She is patient, gentle, and super energetic! She is emotionally sensitive to animals and matches their energy. Her experience in training service animals and providing extended medical treatments to dogs with serious needs would make her the ideal choice for your pet to have a safe and loving human watch over them when you are away.

Schedule

Dog care fits very naturally into my daily and weekly routine because caring for dogs has always been part of my lifestyle, not something extra. I structure my days around movement, outdoor time, and responsibility. One of my favorite daily habits is going for afternoon walks, and having a dog with me makes that time even more meaningful. I genuinely enjoy giving dogs the physical exercise and mental stimulation they need through structured walks, play, and engagement. Because of my background raising a service dog puppy and fostering, I’m used to building routines that include feeding schedules, potty breaks, training reinforcement, grooming, and calm rest periods. Consistency is very important to me, and I know dogs thrive when their day feels predictable and balanced. Running a nonprofit focused on animal-assisted interventions has also made me highly organized and intentional with my time. I plan ahead, communicate clearly, and make sure any dog in my care receives focused attention, not just supervision.

Safety, trust & environment

I offer boarding in my home where dogs are treated as part of the family in a calm, structured, and loving environment. Safety is a priority, I have a fully fenced yard and a secure home, and I carefully follow each owner’s instructions regarding feeding, exercise, medications, and routines so your dog feels comfortable and understood. Care is always individualized. If your dog is crate-trained, I’m happy to maintain that routine. If they’re not used to a crate, that’s perfectly fine too. I adapt to what makes each dog feel most secure. I also have a pool for dogs who enjoy swimming, always with supervision and owner approval, as a fun and enriching activity. I share my home with a gentle Great Pyrenees mix who has a naturally calm and nurturing temperament. She gets along beautifully with dogs of all ages and often helps visiting dogs feel relaxed and safe. Her presence adds to the peaceful, low-stress environment I strive to create.
