Gentle, loving care for your dog.
I would love to take care of your dog in my country home during the day and/or overnight while you are on vacation. I would prefer a small size dog. I will abide by your rules and will give extra loving care, lots of attention and playtime as well as frequent outdoor walks in our big yard. Our yard is not enclosed, so I will need to use a leash for walks. (Even though your dog may stay by you at your home, I would be afraid he/she would be distracted in a new environment and away from you.) We have a sidewalk and long, blacktop circular driveway for walks as well as big yard in front and back. You may call anytime while you are away to check on your dog, and I will send pictures of your dog and communication if you'd like. I usually care for dogs one at a time, but I am willing to watch more than one at a time only if they are used to being together and get along well. I recall always having childhood pets and, as an adult, have owned pets for many years. My most recent pet was a little Bichon Frise. I have no pets in my home presently, so your dog will get extra special attention and love.

Coco loves going to Carole’s house. We get awesome photos and updates, and we come back to a happy dog. I couldn’t ask for anything else. We have and will ask Carole to sit for us again.
Carole is the best. Coco and Pebbles LOVE going to her house and spending time with her. She sends great photos and updates too. I’m able to rest easy knowing my dogs are in caring, capable hands while I’m away.

We don’t leave Sage with a pet sitter very often but we felt extremely comfortable leaving her with Carole. We had some unexpected events and Carole was very flexible working with us. Carole sent a daily update and photos and both Carole and Sage seems to have a great time which helped us to feel comfortable.
I felt so comfortable leaving Tinkerbell with Carole. She was easygoing and caring and nurturing. She sent me pics and messages every day at my request and was very responsive to messages. I highly recommend her.

Schedule
I am home most of the time with occasional brief errands and will love being with your dog all day. We can play indoors and out, or just relax, and he/she can follow me around throughout the house if they like. They aren't allowed on my bed but may sit with me on the couch if you permit this. If not, I'll discourage it at my house.

Safety, trust & environment
I have gates in the house to prevent escape through outside doors if you feel your dog tends to run. For walks, I always use a leash and stay with the dog at all times while outside. I also have a couple crates if you prefer at night and/or during times I leave the house for an errand. You may bring your own playpens or crates if you prefer.
A typical day
We have a large yard, approximately 5 acres, which includes a long, circular blacktop driveway. I will keep your dog in my yard and/or driveway during his/her stay with me. If your dog enjoys playing with toys, I enjoy lots of play time in the house or outdoors. If your dog just enjoys quiet, cuddle time or practicing tricks and training, I will enjoy those special times each day as well. I have toys which I wash after each dog visit, but you are welcome to bring toys, blankets, etc. which will remind your dog of you and help him/her to feel comfortable.
