I grew up on a farm and have enjoyed living with and caring for animals my entire life. A few years ago I had the unique opportunity of fostering and training a service dog. He could not be left alone more than four hours at a time, so went to work with me every day. I now have two dogs of my own and have worked with them in obedience/agility classes. My elder dog has a repertoire of tricks including one called “Circle Me.” I am happiest when surrounded by animals. I have cared for my neighbours’ pets in their homes: cats, geckos and fish. I do volunteer work at an animal shelter. I have degrees in Biology and Education. My studies included a course in animal behaviour. I am recently retired from a career in education. Now that I have some free time, I can offer to help care for your precious pets when you can’t be there.
