Loving care for your furry children

I have two dogs myself. I had two other ones who sadly passed away recently. This was a German Shepherd named Ferro, I rescued from being trapped in a cage 24/7 and ignored and neglected for the first 2 years of his life and he was severely underweight with a ton of health issues, but he did great ever since he was with me. He was always with me and I still miss him dearly. And Manny, short for little man, a border collie mix, who was my oldest and first dog I owned, he was almost 15.5 years old and still acted like he was 3 years old until two weeks before he passed. He was just the best dog anyone could wish for, he loves to play with any other dogs and got along with everyone and everything even little dogs, big dogs, puppies and even cats and birds as well as small children. I've had him since he was 2 years old. Now I have a chiweenie. I've had her since she was 8 weeks old and she is just a sweetheart, and so smart and is now 11 years old. I very recently adopted a chihuahua pomeranian mix who has special needs because he is blind and deaf and has a large tumor on the side of his chest as well as an anxiety disorder causing him breathing difficulties and heart failure. I adopted him from his previous owner after she boarded him at my house for a week. He is almost 15 years old and is just the biggest sweetheart and such a handsome little guy. I worked in the medical field before and I switched to doing this full-time for multiple reasons but first and foremost I was working very long hours every day and frequently traveled for work to conferences all over the world to meeting a lot of care for my dogs and myself. And I was always feeling guilty about how little time I spent with my dogs and when my German Shepherd passed away, my biggest regret was that I didn't have more time with him while he was still alive. And secondly I had a lot of experiences where dog walkers and dog sitters did not provide the level of care that I felt my dogs deserved. My dogs are like my children and anybody else's dogs are like my children too when they come stay at my place or I go and visit them or walk them and I want nothing with the best for all of them. That's why I called my business five-star dog services because I want to provide nothing but five star service to any four-legged fur baby, and that is my promise to my clients. I will take care of their dog as I do with mine and I take care of mine like they are my children. So I switched to doing this full time. And so far I really really enjoyed and it allows me to spend more time and my own home with my own dogs also, even though I only have two out of the four left. But I cherish every moment with them. Dogs are wonderful, kind, caring, loyal and they wear their heart on their sleeves. Besides my personal experience with my pets and the frequent dog sitting for my family members and Friends, I have also worked a lot with animals. When I was in the medical field I did research for my PhD on comparative Anatomy between different animal species, non-human primates, primates and humans. As part of this research I worked with a team of people collaborating on surgeries for various animals including dogs such as surgery for torn knee ligaments. I worked closely with the local Zoo, Museum of History and art and a Veterinary Surgical Clinic. Some of the dog breeds I'm familiar with and have had boarded at my house before are German shepherd, English shepherd, Dutch shepherd, Border Collie, great dane, bullmastiff, pitbull, basset hound, schnauzer, various terriers, chihuahua, wiener dog, labradoodle, golden doodle, Australian doodle, bernadoodle, Labrador retriever, golden retriever, doberman pinscher, bloodhound, alaskan husky, siberian husky, rat terrier, pomeranian, miniature doodle , poodle, bulldog, boxers, shitzu, and of course various different mixed breeds. I am proficient in grooming these various dog breeds, which I enjoy doing on the side and I got familiar with how to do this along the way, but I have no formal official certification for this and for this reason I offer this service free of charge for any dog boarding at my house. Also bathing is free and I always wash and base all dogs prior to returning them to their owner after they've been boarded at my house which includes shampooing your fur, cleaning their ears come out brushing your teeth come on brushing them, and using my deshedding glove/ massage glove, as well as any lotions for if they have dry skin or any other skin conditions. I have experience with dogs of all ages from 8 weeks to 15 years. Including those dogs with special needs or medical issues and because of my experience in the medical field I'm perfectly capable and comfortable giving medications including injectables the dogs of all sizes. I completed a private military K-9 training program with my German Shepherd and remember it well and I always try to train any dog that I board at my house come as well as those that I walk regularly, according to the same methods which is a lot of fun. We practice things like leash walking as well as sitting, laying down, staying, and socializing with other dogs as well as impulse control. I do not charge for this because I'm not officially certified so this is free of charge and I do it because I enjoy it very much. My dogs are friendly with other dogs and love to have company to play with. We go on lots of walks and we have plenty of cuddle time and I make sure to give each of my dogs as well as the dogs that I'm watching awesome individual attention and doing something with just them that they like. I will take care of your dog like I take care of mine and mine are like my children.

Doggy Day Care • Aug 31, 2026

I wanted to share my experience to help other owners with making an informed decision. I'm new to Rover and booked Carola for 2 days. Everything went well at the initial meeting and Buddy took an immediate liking to Carola. An hour after we left, I asked how Buddy was getting along with other dogs and received no reply. There were no updates for the entire day. That evening around 3am Buddy woke up with diarrhea when nothing in his diet had changed. We thought it may have been the stress of traveling and didn't want to jump to conclusions. The next morning when dropping Buddy off again, he immediately turned around and tried to walk away when Carola opened the door. Again, we didn't wanted to jump to conclusions and assumed it's because he wanted to stay with us rather than someone he had just met. We received an update shortly after that Buddy was doing well. An hour before picking him up, I messaged Carola to let her know of our arrival time and 10min before arrival received a reply that Carola had to help a friend and would be back shortly. When we rang the doorbell, no one was home. A man we had never met arrived shortly afterward and opened the door so we could pick up Buddy. The first thing Buddy did was run to the front yard in a desperate need to release diarrhea. When we arrived at our Airbnb, he immediately ran to his water bowl and drank 2 full bowls, something that we have never seen him do before. Overall, we were very concerned by the lack of communication and updates, Buddy’s apparent change in behavior and his repeated diarrhea. Based on our experience, we would not feel comfortable booking this sitter again.

We had a great experience with Carola! She took such good care of our puppy Bear and kept us updated with pictures, which really gave us peace of mind. Bear looked happy and comfortable the whole time. We really appreciate her taking such great care of him and would definitely book with her again! 🐾❤️

We had a great experience with carola watching our dog! Shes a German Shepard who is a very nervous dog and we’ve had a really hard time finding somewhere to board her and we were so happy with how well she did with carola. It’s nice to now have someone we can count on to watch her when we need!

Carola was a great person to watch my cat "Baby". This is the first time that I ever boarded a pet. Carola made sure my cat was safe and well taken care of and she would text me notes and photos everyday/evening to keep me updated. Carola provided a nice room for Baby to live in (at my house she's an outdoor cat). Baby did well in her safe indoor place. I'm sure the next time she is boarded with Carola, my cat will have a big smile on her heart and face and so will I!!! Thank you Carola, for all your kindness!

Schedule

I currently work from home and have a very flexible schedule, so I'm always available and always flexible to accommodate your pet needs. I can be there in about anytime and any day to do visits and ensure that your pets have enough potty breaks to avoid accidents in your house and that they have enough love and attention so that they won't be lonely during your absence. I have a vehicle and I'm able to drive to your residence to take care of your pets there or transport them to my house and of course in case of emergency take them to their listed vet or emergency vet. I will be home with your pets 24/7 if they stay in my residence. I have a fenced in large backyard that they can play in with artificial grass so they won't get muddy or dirty. If needed I can wash and groom them also to make sure they're pretty and clean when you return from your trip. And I'll spend time individually with them and trying to train them in the basic commands and leash walking as well as impulse control. This is all free of additional charge and done out of love and care for your dog.

Safety, trust & environment

I have 3 dogs myself who are very happy to have any company to play with. My yard is large and entirely fenced in and has artificial grass to play on to avoid your dogs getting dirty. My yard is safe and dog proof and will provide a safe and comforting place for your pets to play and have fun with my dogs while you're away on your trip. They always have access to fresh filtered water with ice cubes in the summer and I keep plenty of treats around. I do not create my dogs but if you have a dog which requires crating or that is something you prefer I am happy to accommodate. I will take your dogs on walks during the day unless there's a reason you prefer otherwise, so they can there activity in and I can do some individual training. I can administer any of their regular medications or emergency medications. My dogs received preventative flea, tick, and heartworm medication to ensure that they are in pristine health and visits the vet regularly so they do not pose any potential health risk to your furry children. My house is spacious and has hardwood flooring throughout so they can play inside too if it is cold outside or raining. And if they have an accident it is easy to clean up and not a big deal. I have dog fencing to to make a playpen inside if needed. Or to keep dogs separated if necessary. Home 24/7 and therefore I'm always there to watch your dog if they're boarded at my house.

Pets

A typical day

During a typical day we usually go out into the backyard and get some snacks and play in the yard. My little one likes to look for frogs and lizards to Chase around, while my older dog likes to roll around in the artificial grass on his back and get his belly rubbed. We play fetch with a golf ball or tennis ball. During the lunch time we have snacks and we go for a walk to the park near my house. In the evening time we take a stroll through the neighborhood and explore a new route every time when possible well we also retrieve my meal from the mailbox and stop the talk to some of the neighbors. That's how they get some additional love and attention and give lots of hugs and kisses. When we come home we have dinner together and later we play in the backyard somewhere before we go to bed to start the fun all over again the next day
