Hello! I’m Carola, a 27-year-old Italian chemical engineer living and working in Eindhoven. Although my days are filled with science and research, animals have always been one of the most important parts of my life. Back in Italy, I have a beloved cat, Chanel, who means the world to me. Being away from her made me realize even more how much I value the companionship, comfort, and happiness that animals bring. Since I can’t have a pet of my own here at the moment, pet sitting has become my way of staying close to the animals I miss so much while helping other pet owners feel confident and relaxed when they are away. I have hands-on experience caring for both cats and dogs. I’ve looked after cats both in my own home and in other people’s homes, and I understand that every cat has a different personality and routine. Whether they are playful, shy, independent, curious, or need extra reassurance, I take the time to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I also have experience with dogs. I lived in a house with a dog and walked my owner’s dog every day, so I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes and energy levels. Back in Italy, many of my friends and relatives have dogs, and I regularly helped care for them, from daily walks and feeding to playtime and companionship. What I love most about animals is how unique each one is. Cats fascinate me with their mix of independence and affection, while dogs bring so much energy, loyalty, and joy. I enjoy building trust with every pet and adapting to their personality and needs. Being surrounded by animals for most of my life has taught me patience, attentiveness, and how to create a calm, happy, and safe environment.
