A force-free, reactive-care walker
Advocate of positive-reinforcement training & experienced with reactivity! In February 2026, I began fostering dogs from a Korean rescue, after my late rescue dog crossed the rainbow bridge—the cutest Shihtzu-Chihuahua mix. I wasn't ready to adopt another dog so I chose to foster—so many dogs are in need of homes but little space and capacity in rescue shelters. My first foster became a foster-fail after a few months being in my care. After her, I fostered a 1-year-old Shiba-Jindo rescue who had been through a lot of trauma from the same shelter, until he found his forever home. Fostering dogs can be challenging but witnessing them decompress and realize they're finally safe is truly a gift. During my time in Vancouver, I co-parented a 3-year-old, very reactive rough collie for nearly four years. He was my first dog I was responsible for, and through him and knowledgeable reactivity trainer, I learned a lot about reactivity, boundary-setting, and canine behaviour. Training and walking a reactive dog in a city is never easy, but it was one of the most rewarding experiences. Now, my godson is thriving, less reactive than ever before; I am better for it.

We’re so happy with how well Carol was with our pup!! I knew from the initial meet and greet that Carol would be a good fit! She has a wonderful energy and she knows how to handle anxious dogs as my pup was so willing to go with her during our trial run. Carol sent lots of updates and pictures and has been such a pleasure to deal with! She’s quick to respond and took our suggestions and feedback really well. Carol is our go to sitter with Byron and has taken care of him numerous times. Some people are just naturally animal lovers and Carol is one of them. I honestly can’t recommend Carol enough. She has been taking care of Bailey (My Cavalier King Charles Spaniel) since she was about 4–5 months old, and now Bailey is already 15 months. From day one, Carol has been so loving, patient, and caring with her. Bailey absolutely adores her, and every time she sees Carol, she gets so excited. I’ve trusted Carol with Bailey several times while I was away, and I’ve also trusted her to stay in my home. Knowing Bailey is with someone who genuinely loves her gives me complete peace of mind. Carol doesn’t just watch her—she plays with her, keeps her happy, gives her lots of affection, and treats her like family. She has truly become Bailey’s second mom, and I feel incredibly lucky that we found her. Whenever I need someone to care for Bailey, Carol is always my first choice. I’m a hybrid corporate dog mom who can house sit from Saturday to Wednesday. Other services vary! A typical day with me as a sitter? 🐕🦺6am-7am: long sniff walk 🕗 breakfast time! 🙈 structured play/training + nap time 🐕🦺 1pm: potty break/walk 🙈 cuddles + play + nap time 🐕🦺 5pm: potty break/walk 🕕 dinner time! 🫖 cuddles + potty break 🕘 goodnight!

Safety, trust & environment
I'm a strong believer in a meet and greet for any pet service. It's so important for your dog to learn my scent. This first interaction allows me to observe their behaviour, their ticks and quirks. Body language is crucial for me to advocate for your dog and become a trusted companion. WALKS and DROP-IN VISITS: For reactive and/or rescue dogs, the first few walks/drop-in visits will be relaxed and low-energy. They might not recognize me right away or still have apprehensions. So, I'll sit on the floor nearby, tossing treats here and there until they come to me. We'll spend a few minutes playing to build that rapport and trust. The walk itself might not happen that first day, or if it does, it might not be that long—that's ok! Building trust is most important to ensuring your dog feels safe enough to let me walk them.

A typical day
Physical exercise is important but as a dog mom who's worked with reactivity trainers, I know mental enrichment is key to a happy and fulfilled dog: playing hide and seek, find it, indoor sniffing and lick mats, or teaching them new tricks. For low to medium energy dogs, we can sit on the couch and watch Bluey, or have a nap and cuddle.
