Availability

Small dog petsitting is my only obligation. It’s my full time commitment. The dogs are under almost constant supervision, both inside & out, 24/7. I may run errands or have an appointment but I won’t be gone more than 4-5 hours. When I do leave, your dog will be safe in its own separate area or paired with a friend. I offer frequent potty breaks every 1-3 hours. They can romp around & explore my private, shaded, & securely fenced backyard to their hearts content. Or they can potty & return. I feed the pups twice a day, roughly 8a & 6p. I do not restrict water. There will be ample fresh water available both inside & out.

Safety, trust & environment

I’m a dog lover, not just a dog owner. My dogs are part of my family & I treat them as such. Your pup will be treated as a loving part of my family too. The pups have free rein of my house & furniture. Gracie sleeps next to me. The other pups are welcome as well. I usually allow the dogs to pick their favorite spot in my BR, or we can use your crate if you’d prefer. I want your pet to feel at home, comfortable & loved. That’s the advantage of home daycare & boarding. They can stay on their schedule & be in a comfortable more familiar environment. They’ll be safe with almost 24/7 supervision, & have all the love & attention they deserve. They’re able to socialize with other dogs & still get the human affection they crave. It causes so much less stress!

Information Carol F. would like to know about your pet

I’ll need to know your dog’s schedule and any special needs they may have…Any behaviors I should monitor. Do they get into the trash, or destroy cloth toys? How do they communicate that they want to go out? Or need something else? Do they have food aggression, separation anxiety or health issues or meds? I want your dog not only to feel safe but stay safe. Your dog has additional insurance with me through PCI. He or she is covered for any unforeseen injuries or illness. Please no aggressive dogs, females not spayed, or dogs not house trained. I’d like to meet you & your pup before drop off so we can talk. I want you to feel comfortable with where your dog will be staying. I’ll also be evaluating your dog’s behavior & socialization. The Meet & Greet will take 30”-60”. Vet records w/ up to date Rabies, & Distemper combo is required. Bordetella must be within 6 months. Flea/tick protection is required. My hours are flexible. You can drop off or pick up anytime between 8:00 am & 8:00 pm., 7 days a week. I give a 3 hour leeway between drop off & pick up times. If your pick up is more than 3 hours after your drop off, an additional daycare fee, $35, will be calculated. I do have limited space. If you have to cancel, I ask you to let me know as soon as possible. I will take loving care of your little pup! You can count on it! I hope to see you soon!

A typical day

Gracie loves to play with toys, puzzles, balls and tug-of-war ropes. So I have many. If your dog likes to run & wrestle, she will keep them busy. It’s a fun aerobic exercise!

Retired RN Loves Small Dogs

Pet care experience

Hi! I’m a retired RN. Now I have lots of time, & I can’t wait to play with your fur-baby! I love dogs & specialize in those under 30 lbs., most are 10-20 lbs. Li’l Pooch Playhouse is my full time commitment. I offer daycare & boarding for up to 5 dogs. No kennels, just constant human & canine socialization & love. You can see some videos of my funny pups on FB at “Li’l Pooch Playhouse”. This is a Home away from Home. Here they are free to roam & play inside & outside. Your pup will love to explore my private, fenced & shaded backyard. I offer dog friendly furnishings & a safe loving retreat with custom sleeping accommodations. Most of my dogs are regular clients that run to my door when they return. There’s No “additional charge” for extra cuddle time here! Your pup will get all the love & attention they desire. I have plenty of experience with dogs. I have been dog sitting full time for over 4 years. My grandmother raised German Shepherds. So I grew up with dogs. I have 30 years experience with my own pets, plus those of my friends and family. As a RN, I'm acutely aware of health issues. A professional's eye will be watching your dog. I will promptly contact you with any health concerns. My dogs are a loving part of my family. So, I know how important your baby is to you. I take the care of your loved one seriously. I also understand the obligation of my commitments. Once you are booked, I will not cancel on you. In Jan, 2022 I rescued a playful 12 lb 6 mo old Maltese/Terrier mix. Gracie is now 4 years old. She is very active, playful, & social. But she is also sensitive to older dogs & their needs. She loves her roommates & has grown up with many. You will enjoy meeting her. I love taking pictures & videos of the funny expressions or things they do. When you board with me I’ll send daily pictures along with updates on how they’re eating, sleeping & getting along with others. (My Rover score for daily photos is not accurate as I frequently send videos that must go thru your regular cell phone number.)

Carol was wonderful with our tiny 4lb dog while we were out of town for a week. She was very communicative and sent updates frequently. Our dog had the best time with her and we will definitely use her again!

Carol welcomed Nash and made him feel right at home! She is very organized and thorough about understanding the individual needs of each dog. I felt completely at ease knowing that Nash was in good hands and being taken care of so well.

Carol is a wonderful pet sitter! Our dogs, Joey and Dexter, enjoy going to Carol’s house. Carol is very good at sending pictures and videos of your babies while you’re away from them. When we pick them up, they always seem so content , like they had a great time!!

Carol was AMAZING with our shy Lucy! She was very patient & accommodating to ensure Lucy was comfortable & had a good 5 night stay. Carol was very attentive, thorough in asking all the questions to get to know Lucy. The daily updates & pics were a bonus. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND Carol!!
