I have been a pet parent for as long as I can remember - more than 30 years! I have been pet first aid certified by the American Red Cross and have managed dogs with diabetes and cancer as well as many other conditions. I can't imagine life without furbabies. Currently, I only have space to board one dog per night because I bring them inside my home for the night. I can provide daycare for two or more if they can be kenneled together throughout the day. I never, never leave them in the kennel all day long. I only kennel for short amounts of time and for no more than two hours.

Carmen took great care of my Paisley as my hubby & I explored the park. Even though I didn’t have much service she still sent photos that were a nice little surprise whenever I did get them! Thanks Carmen!
Carmen is a true dog lover, and knowledgeable. Our chihuahua terrier mix stayed with her for 2 days while we explored the park. She sent pics of him playing and napping. He was obviously happy and well cared for. We highly recommend Carmen and are so grateful we found a safe, fun place for our fur baby so we could enjoy our vacation
Carmen was fantastic. She was respectful, responsive, flexible, and friendly. She is very experienced caring for animals, and it shows. Carmen even hiked with Ranger around Terlingua while we hiked around the park. We felt he was very well cared for.
Hiking with your dog is not allowed inside the Park but I don’t travel without my best buddy. Carmen put my mind at ease immediately with pics and updates. Jinx enjoyed his stay with her out of the desert heat and met some new friends. I would highly recommend Carmen. I hope to be a repeat customer.
What an exceptional experience! I think our dog, Nixie, enjoyed her stay with Carmen as much as we enjoyed our time hiking the trails at Big Bend National Park. We left Nixie with Carmen for 1 overnight and 5 days of daycare and from the very beginning our usually timid dog was at ease. We’ll definitely board our dog here again when we are in the area. Highly recommend!
Carmen did a great job with Scout, our Chocolate Lab. She was very friendly, helpful and sent us great photos. Great sitter when in Terlingua

Schedule
I work from home running my own business so I am available almost always to provide care and attention to your dogs. My dogs are the bosses around here! Occasionally, I have to leave the property but not for more than two hours at a time. Your furbaby will be with me most of the time, either inside my home or with me inside the fenced area.

I have two 4x12 kennels within a large fenced area. I operate as a business and am fully insured. The fenced area has a lot of shade, a cool pool and a large misting fan. I also have crates that can be brought inside my home if it is excessively hot or cold outside. I board all my overnighters inside my home.
Pets
A typical day
We will take walks to explore all the new smells around the property and have playtime inside the fenced yard. I also love to give my dogs snuffle mats with small bits of treats to bring out their inner wolf! Let me know if your furry friend has any allergies. There is also a small cool pool if your pup likes to splash in the water though they might come home smelling like a wet dog :-)
