I work remotely so my schedule is more flexible and also means I’ll be home during day to give lots of attention to your four legged family members. This could be particularly helpful if your fuzzy one has separation anxiety or just needs extra love.

My neighborhood has dog park/many walking areas. Currently have small parrot in home that has his own cage in separated area. Dogs can stay on their favorite dog bed or hang out on the couch with my son and I. When i’m lucky, dogs will snuggle on my bed with me! I feel this is paramount: Above all else, I will follow your instructions on what to do and when/what to feed them. Your pet will not consume food that you didn’t bring. Unless that’s ok with you. It’s your prerogative, and I will be as strict or lenient as you would normally be with your fuzz ball. Please bring your crate if that’s their routine for when you’re away from home or during bedtime.

Information Carmen P. would like to know about your pet
I’m a certified worrier so I can appreciate if you experience anxiety while you’re away. I treat my clients’ animals as though I were in their shoes. I update frequently and send many photos. You’re always welcome to contact me whenever if you want to check in for any reason. If your pet cannot have certain toys (i.e. toys with squeakers) please tell me. I do keep dog toys/balls/ropes in home. Please let me know what your pet needs to be relaxed and happy. Tell me ALL the weird quirks or objects that set them off in a good way or bad way. For example, my parrot attacks me every time I try to brush my hair and you don’t even want to know what he does when I try to use the hairdryer! Do they like to lay on their dog bed, hang out on the couch or hop on the bed? What is their typical potty and feeding schedule? Are they known for trying to squeeze through the front door? Are they OK with other dogs/people or should I avoid chance encounters while taking them on walks? This side job has given me a lot of happiness. I cannot wait to meet your furry friends!
A typical day
Peek-a-boo with blankets of course! Tug of war! Rubbing/scratching bellies on dogs and for kitties definitely only where they deem the lowly sitter permissible to do so. Walking around neighborhood, playing with frisbee/tennis ball/toy in yard, and of course receiving treats when appropriate. Whatever is their favorite activity, just let me know, and I will make it happen. No skydiving though- I’m afraid of heights! They will get the loving care as if they were my own, minimizing the anxiety that they might experience due to the temporary absence of their family.

Pet care experience
**I only board one family’s pets at a time** We have a fenced yard and I will be with your pets most or all of the day! Your furry family will get plenty of one on one love and you won’t have to worry about them. My yard is fenced and has enough space for all sizes dogs to do zoomies or catch frisbees/tennis balls. I have seen some impressive jumping and catching!
Reviews

Carmen was amazing! She watched our two dogs last minute and took such great care of them. She was so sweet, easy to talk to, and had the best stories. We felt completely comfortable leaving our pups with her and would definitely book with her again. Highly recommend!

We were relieved to find Carmen as a last-minute booking; our girl Pippin caught kennel cough from daycare so we couldn't go through with the Rover boarder we originally booked. Carmen was quick to respond to my messages before and after confirming the booking, as I let her know the situation with Pippin. When we dropped Pippin off, Carmen mentioned a few details that I had written up in Pippin's profile - it was very reassuring to know that she had seen AND read through the info, especially since this was our first time leaving Pip with a stranger. We exchanged phone numbers and kept up pretty consistent contact via text throughout our trip; I received photos of Pippin and reassurances that she was behaving. We are very thankful that Carmen provided a safe and comfortable home for Pippin while we were out of town. Should the need arise again and family cannot watch Pip for us, we will definitely be reaching out for another booking. :)

This was my pup’s second stay with Carmen. She took excellent care of him. I received frequent pictures and updates. She was always quick to respond whenever I reached out. I had a couple of specific requests for his care during these summer thunderstorms and also his especial neediness for companionship. When I arrived for pick up, I could tell he had been well cared for and was his usual happy self! This was a bit of an extended time for me to be away from my dog and Carmen took very good care of him. Will book again!

I had an excellent experience working with Carmen. She made my pup feel right at home. I could tell when I picked him up he had been well cared for and was very content. Carmen was very receptive to specific requests or care that was unique to my dog’s needs and personality traits. She was also in touch with me during his stay, sent pictures and receptive to messages. I will absolutely be using her again! Recommend!
