Carmen and family were amazing! I knew my dog was in great hands! I’m so happy to have someone that I feel comfortable leaving my dog with when out of town.

Our dog has stayed with Carmen many times. Always a great experience. She and her entire family is very loving and caring. Makes having to leave your loved one a lot easier knowing they are so well cared for.

Big, fenced yard/couch snuggles

We have been dog parents for 12 years. Our family includes Luke (a 9-yr old beagle mix), both rescued through ADOPT (Animals Deserving of Proper Treatment).

After a wonderful experience boarding our own dogs with a sitter we found on Rover.com we decided to join the organization.

My husband and I are both teachers so during the school year our weekdays begin early, but someone is always home by 3:45pm.

On shorter stays ...

What Carmen would like to know about your dog

Where does your dog sleep? Our dog prefers to sleep in his crate at night.
Also, our dog is older and docile, so if your dog is very young and very energetic our house may not be the best fit.

When Carmen watches your pet

Here's where we'll take our walks

Your dog will be walked once to twice per day, depending on your request, but will be allowed outside as many times as he/she asks to go. Our yard offers lots of off-leash play and moving-about space so there are times s/he will be sent outside for some group fun with our two dogs.

Your dog's sleeping arrangement

Your dog will sleep in our family room with our dog, who is crated at night. This is the most active room in the house and ensures the most people-time. It is your choice whether or not you wish to have your dog crated.

Time I'll spend with your dog

During the school year our dogs are greeted in the morning around 5:30am and are part of the family's morning routine until 7:00. They are home alone until 3:45, but I work close to home so if your pet needs a midday potty break that can easily be arranged (for stays of less than one week). From 3:30 until we go to bed at night, usually around 10:30, your pet will be an integral part of everything we do.

During the summer, someone is home at all times so your pup will never be alone for longer than a visit to the grocery store.
