I’m your pet’s favorite grandma.
I have been a devoted mom, grandma, and pet parent for a long time. Now that I am off grandma daycare duty and my pets have crossed over the rainbow bridge, I’m ready to become your pet’s bestie, grandma, exercise buddy, or treat lady. I currently have a limited clientele in the neighborhood, including letting dogs out to pee, going on walks, and daytime/overnight sitting. A little bit about why I am “the one:” My life has been devoted to caring for others. I retired from the healthcare field to take care of my grandkids, who went to elementary school and left me behind. My very dear dog (Sammy) and cat (Irene) grew old with me until they got their wings. I am at my best when I’m taking care of others, whether they have tails or not. I spend my time walking with humans and dogs, many of whom enjoy my humor and choice of dog biscuit variety. I love to garden in my fenced yard, preferably with a dog nearby laying in a sunny spot. With no pets or little kids in the house, I enjoy relaxing by the tv sharing some healthy snacks with a pup or cat, giving them the attention they deserve. Although I do run out still for the occasional kid transport, I am not usually away for long and always back in time for a good meal or a stroll.

Carmela is an absolutely spectacular dog mom. Chester (our Australian Cattle dog) was very much at home during his stay with her and he clearly was well taken care of. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a home to house your fur baby while you are away. We are so grateful to have found her, and hope Chester can stay with her again in the future.
From our very first meet-and-greet, Carmela was kind, attentive, and clearly enjoyed the company of animals. During the 10-night stay, she made sure our dog felt comfortable. Carmela provided daily walks, healthy treats, and plenty of cuddles. I especially appreciated the daily updates with pictures, which gave me peace of mind while we were away. Ella even had the chance to spend time with Carmela’s granddaughters, which was a wonderful bonus, more hands to pet her and more humans to play with! Knowing she had that extra attention made me feel even more confident in our choice. We’re so happy we found Carmela, and we would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, reliable dog sitter.

Our dog’s stay with Mrs. Carmela was excellent. She kept us updated every day and we could see that Mimi was happy—and that was our top priority. We are very grateful and highly recommend her 100%. We believe Mimi even missed her the first night back home! 🥰 She is a wonderful dog sitter. She made sure to take notes about everything related to Mimi, which gave us great peace of mind
The best the doggie sitter I have ever left my elderly dog with. Carmela is kind caring and easy to communicate with. She treats my fur baby better than a celebrity, he is always sad to leave and can not wait to comeback for his next overnight or day trip!

Dates de la garde
While I am retired, I do still help out with the grandkids here and there. I’m typically never away long. I walk 1-3 times a day, sometimes through the neighborhood and sometimes on a path. I love the extra company of a pup!

When visiting my home, your pets can enjoy many comfortable features and experiences from laying on a nice cool tile floor to cozying up in a bed with a warm blanket, running around my fenced backyard, watching the fish swim in the small pond, going for a morning and evening walk on a path, and watching some nighttime tv. While I typically gate off some rooms for canine visitors, there is plenty of indoor space to explore while they find their favorite room or sunny spot. Depending on your pet’s age or preference in chewing things, I may gate off specific areas to deter chewing and peeing. I am happy to accommodate communication or even a short video chat between you and your pet.

On a nice day, I typically take 2 walks. Dogs may enjoy a walk around the neighborhood or on a nice paved path. We love to stop and say hi to our many human and canine friends, with whom we always share treats. Not a big walker? That’s ok! I also have a fenced backyard and I love to sit out on the patio. We love to bake and share healthy pup-friendly snacks.
