I've been caring for dogs and cats for more than 20 years, and spending time with animals has always been one of my favorite things. Over the years, I've cared for pets of all ages, sizes, and personalities—from playful Chihuahuas and energetic puppies to gentle Huskies, senior pets, and independent cats. I take the time to get to know their unique personality, routines, and preferences so they feel comfortable, safe, and loved while you're away. I'm experienced with senior pets who need extra patience and care, including administering medications and following special routines. I'm also comfortable with puppies who are still learning and need consistency, supervision, and lots of positive reinforcement. In My Home: When your pet stays with me, they become part of the family. I provide a safe, comfortable, and loving environment where pets can relax and feel at home. My fully fenced backyard offers plenty of space for supervised outdoor play, fresh air, and potty breaks, with both grass and shaded areas to keep pets comfortable. We're also conveniently located near parks and walking trails, making it easy to provide regular exercise and enrichment. Because I work from home full-time, pets are rarely left alone and receive plenty of attention, companionship, and supervision throughout the day. I maintain each pet's normal feeding, walking, and sleeping schedule as closely as possible to help reduce stress and make their stay feel familiar. Safety is always my top priority, and I take the time to learn each pet's needs, preferences, and any special instructions before their stay. In Your Home: When caring for your pet in their own home, my goal is to keep their routine consistent and their environment stress-free. I follow all feeding schedules, exercise routines, medication instructions, and household guidelines to ensure your pet receives the same level of care they're accustomed to. I understand that trust is essential when welcoming someone into your home, so I treat every home with the utmost respect and care. I'll keep you updated with photos, messages, and regular check-ins so you can relax knowing your pet is happy, safe, and well cared for. It’s important for me to know your pet’s daily routine, including feeding times, walk schedule, and bathroom habits. I’d also love to know about their personality—whether they’re playful, shy, energetic, or cuddly—as well as any quirks, fears, or triggers they might have (like loud noises or other animals). Please let me know about any medical needs, allergies, or medications, and don’t forget emergency contacts, including your preferred vet. Knowing their favorite toys, treats, and house rules (like if they’re allowed on furniture or in certain rooms) also helps me keep them happy and safe while you're away!
A typical day
Every pet is different, so I tailor each day to their personality, energy level, and routine. My goal is to make sure they feel happy, comfortable, and loved while you're away. I'm an avid walker and typically walk 5–7 miles each day, so dogs who enjoy getting out and exploring will have plenty of opportunities for exercise, fresh air, and adventure. Depending on your dog's age, energy level, and needs, our day may include neighborhood walks, visits to nearby parks, playtime in the backyard, and interactive games like fetch or tug-of-war. For senior dogs or those who prefer a slower pace, I'm equally happy taking leisurely strolls and spending quality time relaxing together. For cats, I focus on providing enrichment and companionship in a way that makes them feel comfortable and secure. We might spend time playing with wand toys, chasing interactive toys, bird-watching from a sunny window, or simply enjoying quiet cuddle time—if they're in the mood for it. Because I work from home full-time, pets receive plenty of supervision, attention, and affection throughout the day. I also enjoy incorporating simple training exercises, puzzle toys, and enrichment activities to keep pets mentally engaged and stimulated. Above all, I treat every pet like they're my own. Whether they prefer an active day filled with walks and play or a calm day with naps and cuddles, I'll make sure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for.
