Caring and experienced pet sitters
We are Carlos and Liliana, a married couple with a lifelong connection to pets. We both grew up on family farms, surrounded by dogs, cats, horses and other animals, so caring for them has always been a natural part of our lives. Our beloved dog, Chispita, was part of our family for 14 years, giving us experience caring for a dog throughout the different stages of her life. We have also regularly cared for our children’s cats in New York and New Orleans, including administering daily medication when needed. More recently, through house and pet sitting, we have cared for dogs and cats with different personalities, ages and routines, including a household with two Huskies and four cats for three weeks. We understand that every pet is different and take the time to follow their established feeding, walking, medication and companionship routines carefully. We are both architects and university professors, responsible, organized and attentive to detail. When caring for pets in their own home, we also treat the home with the same care and respect we give our own.

Safety, trust & environment
When caring for pets in their own home, our priority is to maintain the environment and routine they already know. We carefully follow the owner’s instructions regarding feeding, walks, medication, doors, gates, and any special needs. We are attentive to changes in behavior and keep owners informed while they are away. As experienced HomeExchange, Airbnb, and TrustedHousesitters users, we are also very respectful of our clients’ homes, privacy, and belongings.
Ratings and reviews
Carlos and Liliana sat for us through Trusted House Sitters. They were trustworthy and communicated well. Liliana noticed one of the pups had a relapse of his skin condition and texted me about where to find his meds. He was much better when we got home. Carlos caught a leak in the ice maker line that we replaced before we went on our trip (don't fix things too close to vacay in case it doesn't hold :P) and kept our floors from getting damaged badly. The critters were all calm and happy when we returned. We would be happy to see them back any time!
Carlos and Liliana were very loving sitters for Charlie. Communication before and during the sit was excellent-the photos they sent showed a very happy pup-on the sofa with Carlos, assisting them with their computer work, and relaxing in the backyard. My house was clean and tidy when I returned home. I highly recommend them to switch your fur babies and would be happy to welcome them back for a future sit.
Carlos and Liliana cared for my 18-year-old cat Otto and my many plants and garden. Daily they carefully prepared Otto's complex food diet. They kept me updated with daily photos and videos about my cat to keep me well informed. They also watered my large collection of plants and vegetable garden which had a definite schedule. I felt at ease when they were in my home and I highly recommend them.

Schedule
We are currently in a flexible stage of our professional lives, which gives us plenty of time to dedicate to the pets in our care. Since we are a couple, we can coordinate our schedules so pets receive plenty of companionship and are rarely left alone for long periods. We carefully follow each pet’s established routine, including feeding, walks, playtime, medication, and, of course, plenty of attention and affection.
