Pet care fits well into my routine alongside my full-time role in hospitality at a winery, where I work Tuesday to Saturday. I’m typically available for morning care before work, evenings after my shift, and I have full availability on Sundays and Mondays. I’m also comfortable with early check-ins, late drop-ins, and overnight stays depending on the needs of the pet and the booking. I’m very organized and used to balancing a busy schedule, so I make sure pet care commitments are planned in advance and always given my full attention when I’m with your pets. I am happy to accommodate last-minute bookings when my schedule allows.

I offer flexible care depending on what works best for each pet and client—whether that’s in my home or yours. My priority is always keeping pets comfortable, safe, and as close to their normal routine as possible. In my home, I live in a spacious walk-up studio with a large fenced backyard, which gives dogs plenty of room to get outside, play, and relax safely. I keep the environment clean, calm, and pet-friendly, and I make sure any visiting pets feel like they have their own little space here. In clients’ homes, I’m very respectful and mindful of routines, instructions, and household rules. I stick closely to feeding schedules, walk routines, medication needs, and any specific training or behaviour guidelines. I also keep communication open with regular updates so you always know how your pet is doing.

Before caring for any pet, I like to learn as much as possible to make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and understood. Important things for me to know include their daily routine, feeding schedule, energy level, and any behavioural quirks or triggers. I also ask about medical needs, medications, allergies, and how they are with other dogs, people, or new environments. The more I know, the better I can match their routine and personality—so it feels like a fun staycation for them, not just time away from you.
A typical day
A typical day includes morning walks, outdoor time, and lots of fresh air..especially taking advantage of Kelowna’s sunshine and, when possible, dog-friendly beach time. I tailor activities to each pet’s energy level, mixing in play, relaxation, and routine so they feel comfortable and cared for. Expect happy, tired pups, plenty of sunshine… and maybe a little beachy glow-up by the time you’re back.

I have been caring for pets and house sitting for friends and family for over 5 years, and I’m now expanding into professional pet care. I’m known for being reliable, calm, and attentive to each animal’s routine and personality. I’m comfortable with dogs of all ages, including energetic puppies who need structure and training reinforcement, as well as senior pets who require patience, medication support, and a gentle approach. I treat every home and pet as if they were my own, making sure they feel safe, settled, and well cared for while their owners are away. Basically, I follow instructions well, give lots of belly rubs, and I take my job very seriously… but I will also absolutely talk to your dog like they’re my best friend. Ps. I also offer flexible scheduling and am last-minute booking friendly when available

Carlie was wonderful with our little dachshund Oliver, he had a great time staying with her! She was very warm and welcoming, and very accommodating when our travel plans suddenly changed. I would highly recommend Carlie, she is lovely!
Carlie is amazing with pets! They’re responsible, attentive, and my dog absolutely adores them. I always feel at ease knowing my pet is in their care. Their communication is great, they send plenty of updates, and they genuinely care about animals. Five stars all the way.
