I am currently a full time student, and spend about 3-4 hours per day in training. The rest of my schooling is self study, which leaves a flexible schedule for pet sitting. I love being outside and hiking, and always enjoy having a four legged friend with me.

Let me know if your dog has a particular schedule they need to stick to, whether it’s for bathroom breaks, medications, walks, or anything else.

A typical day

I love hiking, especially with dogs! I am still getting familiar with all great trails in this area, and I am open to checking out any new places your pet will enjoy. I also love a good game of fetch with a higher energy pup, or relaxing/hanging out if that’s what your dog prefers.

Pet care experience

I’ve had a passion for all animals my entire life and I have experience with a wide variety of animals including dogs, cats, reptiles, birds, horses, and livestock. I also have experience with animals of all ages including neonates and seniors, and am comfortable with all the needs that come with different stages of life. Throughout high school, I volunteered at a small animal veterinary hospital and helped care for my neighbor’s animals as well as my own dog. After high school, I attended Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and graduated with a B.S. in Animal Science with a minor in Equine Science. Immediately after graduation, I started working as a surgery, MRI, and ICU technician at an equine referral hospital. On the side, I worked for our clients pet sitting and ranch sitting. My duties have ranged from pulling all-nighters nursing a foal back to life to helping a 2-legged sheep learn to walk again to training young horses to carry a rider. After working for a couple years, I made a difficult decision to switch careers and moved to San Diego to do so. I am currently training to become an airline pilot, but I still miss working with animals every day. I look forward to giving your pet quality one on one attention!

Carley became part of our family this year when our dog’s heart began to fail. She gave Bailey her noon medication a few days a week and took great care of our other 2 dogs. It meant so much to me when Bailey passed that Carley had been there for her the times that we couldn’t. Thank you, Carley! 🐾❤️

Carley did an amazing job and put my mind at ease with her drop in visits with my 3 little dogs! One has just been diagnosed with congenital heart failure and I work too far away to come home at lunch to let her go potty outside. Carley was quick to respond and help my little dog not go potty in the house.
