Pros: she was friendly and flexible when it came to pick up and drop off times. Cons: He was semi-neglected and returned with severe diarrhea and fleas (both on him and in his belongings). I am very understanding when it comes to cat’s temperaments, so I was sad but not upset with her when she reported he spent the entire time in her bathroom sink. However, I don’t understand why more effort was not made to make him comfortable. He started the stay with: - 12 cans of food (instructions to give one a day), and returned with 7/12 cans. - 2 weeks worth of dry food, and returned with at the very least 80%. - 6 squeeze up/lick-able treats, which I told her he LOVES and to use them to win him over. He returned with 5/6. I knew he’d return with food and probably not eat much the first few days, but this was beyond. Moreover, the 5 treats remaining bothers me the most, as if he wasn’t eating and also wasn’t having a good time, I do not understand why he wasn’t given his favorite treats. - He started with 40 pumps remaining in his inhaler, and returned with 35. He was supposed to receive 2 doses a day. I told her it wasn’t a huge deal if he missed a couple doses, especially in the beginning when he was not yet comfortable. She told me he was able to give him around 1 pump a day, which I accepted. However, in actuality he only received about 1 every other day (i.e. ideally she would've used ~21 doses, she said she used ~10, but actually only used 5). Especially since he apparently never left the sink (and therefore it would have been relatively easy to administer), again it feels like a lack of effort — I would have preferred learning she wasted a number of pumps attempting to give him his inhaler, or at least had she been more honest about the frequency. Finally the fleas — the next day after I brought him I noticed fleas both on him and in the bag with his belongings. I let her know not even necessarily to complain, but to make her aware, saying “I discovered this afternoon Chidi got fleas during his stay. I’m letting you know so you can check/treat any fleas on your animals/apartment”. She responded saying that was strange because he never once left the bathroom (his litter box was not in the bathroom so that obviously was not literally true, and regardless bathrooms are not impervious to fleas). I did not respond and was ready to just chalk it up to being a bad fit and never rebook, until I then noticed she blocked me — this made everything that went wrong feel more nefarious in hindsight. I probably would not have left this review had I not been blocked, as again to her credit she was very friendly, but I now feel obligated to share my experience with anyone else considering booking.

Carley was AMAZING. I can't say enough good things about her. She was communicative, sweet and my old senior cat probably was bummed to leave that level of good vibes. Thank you Carley!
