Our lives mean that there is very rarely no adult in the house. I work part-time as cabin crew which means scheduled short trips away, and my husband is home for those periods, and often when I am not away. The children have normal school routines so are normally present in the afternoon and weekends. We all love to get out in the local countryside and do so daily all year round, even without a pet to remind us. It’s just more fun with a canine companion!

Our garden is big enough for even large dogs to let off some steam, and the fencing is strong and well maintained. A vast array of walks is available with just one crossing of a slow village road, and many without using a public road at all. The children have been brought up to both love and respect dogs, and will be very happy to play with your dog in the garden, or even train and practice agility. In the house we don't have dogs upstairs, but they are welcome to make the kitchen, living room and study their home, including the sofas if you are happy for them to use them. We have space for a crate if they are used to sleeping or resting in one.

Family friendly home for your pet
Pet care experience
Our family is very used to having dogs in the home. I have lived with them since childhood, and our two children (12 and 14) learned to live with and love dogs when we had our own in this house until a couple of years ago. We already look after several friend’s dogs when they need, and we would love to welcome more! We are fortunate to live in a beautiful village with miles of riverside and woodland walks accessible without driving. The whole family love to get out and explore, with dogs, or horse riding, or just on foot! We understand that all dogs are different and we will discuss your pet’s specific requirements to ensure we give them the best care we can, including specific dietary needs and allergy regimes (foot washing eye/ear drops, medication). We are familiar with many dog training techniques, including gun dog/whistle and agility. We would plan to walk with your dog twice a day, choosing a route appropriate to give them the exercise they are used to.
Reviews

Another lovely stay with attentive care for Hera. Great communication from Carley. 😊

Our dog had the best day with Carley! He was very well cared for and we were sent regular updates & photos throughout. Would certainly recommend as a dog sitter as she has lots of experience with dogs and is a very kind and genuine person.

Carley was great with our dogs. Super communicative, and updated us regularly with photos. She had experience of reactive dogs that was perfect for our Dougie, and we felt that the dogs were in really safe hands as a result. Not to mention her amazing house and garden that they'll have loved running about in! Would 100% use Carley again!

A lovely stay for Hera. Charley was happy to adapt to Hera’s needs and personality. Will definitely use again.
