I love animals!
I’ve been around animals my entire life and currently care for three dogs, eight chickens, and two birds, so I’m comfortable with pets of all sizes, personalities, and energy levels. Whether your dog loves long runs, leisurely walks, or simply needs companionship and attention, I’m happy to tailor their care to their individual needs. I enjoy walking, running, and spending time outdoors, making me a great fit for active dogs, but I’m just as happy providing a calm, relaxed pace for senior or low energy pets. I also have experience with basic training and medication administration. I have trained my own dogs to walk off leash and perform a variety of commands and tricks. I’m patient, reliable, and attentive, and I treat every pet as if they were my own.

I’m a lifelong animal lover and currently care for two dogs and two birds, and eight chickens. My dogs are an important part of my family: I feed them, take them on regular walks, play with them and groom them daily, and make sure they’re well loved and spoiled. I also care for my birds by cleaning their cage weekly and providing fresh food and water every day. Caring for animals is part of my daily routine, and I understand the importance of providing consistent, attentive, and compassionate care to ensure every pet feels safe, happy, and comfortable.

Carleigh took excellent care of my cat while I was away for an extended time. She made sure to check in with me each time she was visiting, updated me on meals and other details, and sent pictures with a description of my kitty’s demeanor. I would recommend her for stop in care and ask to use her services again. Carleigh brought out the friendliest side of my cat and I was surprised and happy that she warmed up to her so quickly and well.

Schedule
I generally work a traditional 8:00 AM–5:00 PM schedule, but I have flexibility throughout the day. I’m available during my lunch break for drop-in visits and short walks in the East Grand Rapids area. Before and after work, my schedule is widely open, making me available for longer walks, exercise, feeding, playtime, and overnight care. I’m happy to work with your pet’s routine to provide reliable, consistent care that fits their needs.
