A cozy, loving home where your dog is family
Hi! We’re Jim and Carla, and we share our home with our lovely two-year-old dog, Marlow, an Australian Labradoodle. We both work from home, so your dog will have plenty of company, supervision, and attention throughout the day. Dogs staying with us have free roam of the house, but we’re very happy to personalise this if your dog prefers quieter spaces or a more structured setup. We have room for a crate if that’s part of their routine, and we can provide separate areas for dogs to eat and sleep comfortably. We’re lucky to have great local walks right on our doorstep, perfect for daily outings, and at weekends we love longer walks too — ideal for energetic dogs who need that extra exercise. Marlow is a 17kg, medium-sized dog who is very well trained, calm, and quiet around the house. She’s friendly, affectionate, and playful, with a gentle, easy-going nature around other dogs. She’s not pushy or dominant, and we’re always careful to make introductions positive, calm, and well supervised. We understand how important trust is when leaving your dog with someone else, and we know every dog has their own personality and needs. We’re very open to discussing routines, boundaries, and preferences in advance so we can provide a calm, flexible, ‘home from home’ experience where your dog feels safe, relaxed, and loved.

Carla and Jim looked after our 6 month old puppy for the weekend and we couldn’t have been happier with the love and care our Betsy received. We had lots of pupdates with pictures and could see our fur baby was really cared for. We will definitely be using these lovely people again and would highly recommend them.

I had a great experience with Carla and Jim! I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for reliable and caring pet care. From the start, they were incredibly friendly and approachable, which immediately put me at ease. They arranged a meet and greet beforehand, which was a really thoughtful touch and helped both me and my dog feel comfortable before the stay as it was my first time using Rover. During the time they were looking after my dog, they provided regular updates and photos, which was so reassuring and showed how well my dog was being cared for. It was clear that my dog was happy, relaxed, and getting plenty of attention. I really appreciated the level of care and communication throughout. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with Carla and Jim again and would definitely recommend them to other dog owners looking for someone trustworthy and kind to look after their pet! Thank you!
Carla and Jim looked after our dog Mila for us, they are really friendly & professional. They welcomed Mila into their home with their dog Marlow and she couldn’t have settled better. Carla and Jim looked after Mila perfectly, they sent us regular updates and photos of how Mila was getting on, so whilst we were away we knew that Mila was safe and happy. We would highly recommend Carla and Jim, they are caring, kind, thoughtful and really accommodating. Harmonogram
Both Jim and I work full time from home. We are able to walk your dogs at lunchtime, evenings and weekends. We are able to offer flexibility where needed.

We have a fenced garden to keep your dog safe. Dogs are allowed on our furniture but there is also plenty of space in many rooms for your dog to have their own bed space or crate space if needed.

We have lovely walks nearby to suit all dogs needs, a good garden to play in enjoy setting tasks for dogs that need extra mental stimulation with toys and hide and seek treat games.
