I'm open for the most part. Disabled, so I mainly just have a ton of doctor appointments, but I can still find time to accommodate most needs.

I make sure to treat your special furbaby as if he/she were my own! Always check to make sure pets have fresh water & food. I do like to rinse bowls out before refilling food/water so there's no germs or bacteria, but if instructions are otherwise, I'll do whatever is asked. Also whenever I see a chance to groom, I'll ask for a brush. Grooming is a nice opportunity for me to bond & help ease any anxieties if any. Helps to keep up with shedding during those heat waves!

Information Carla D. would like to know about your pet
I do require that pet parents provide any special notes or instructions or potential behavior prior to our intro if there is no Meet & Greet scheduled. This way I can approach with caution if need be. Most of the time dogs have no problem with me, but there's always a chance something can happen!

1st off I AM A SHUTTERBUG! So be prepared for funny pup pics! For dogs, if I'm notified of a doggie park near by I usually go to that. Especially, if I see 1 with a little washing station. I know most furkids can't resist a spritz in the mouth during summer time! I am mindful of mud so I make sure to let their feet dry before going back inside. I like to bring a tennis ball with me to keep them busy & tire them out a bit if they're high energy. I'll also look for nearby riverwalks, parks, anything with shade.

Pet care experience
Hi there/Hola! I absolutely love animals of ALL kinds! I've had several different types of animals/fish/reptiles to care for throughout my life & have been caring for animals for about 30 years in total. From hamsters to horses, I've been around to care for them. I'm mostly a dog gal, but I currently have a 12-year-old Lilac Burmese cat named Tater I took a shine to, my personal fur baby & ESA. Tater was my late husband's ESA that I raised from a newborn kitten while he was going through chemo & radiation. Then, sadly, William passed from cancer complications on St. Patrick's Day, 3/17/12. Tater has been around for me through tough times...providing me with a ton of support, love & a LOT of entertainment! Burmese cats are very intelligent breed. Aside Tater, I have quite a few fish I care for as well. I also provide care for my father's 4-year-old Rottie mix Service Dog. My father is a 67 year-old Retd. Automotive Mechanic & needs help with walks & bathing her. Overall, I'm GREAT with cats, dogs & most animals in general! They seem to be drawn towards me & listen/respond to me very well! Good with following any special or additional instructions given. I do ask questions if I have any to assure your pet is given the attention & caring it needs. ::::::Bonus for You!:::::: I'm a Mixed Media Artist, use a ton of different things,, a ton of different ways & I LOVE to think outside the box! Resin & custom cardmaking are what I've been using lately. At the end of your booking, I usually include a small gift. So read on if this is something you might be interested in. We have a small business called R.I.P -Resurrection In Progress, in which we specialize in creating beautiful, mesmerizing & very UNIQUE art out of _nothing_. We immortalize your beloved fur baby by using anything ranging from their 1st teeth (if you're among those who are lucky to find them), whisker & claw sheddings to remains. Even if it's a simple picture, we turn anything into works of art & jewelry, customized & tailored to capture moments of you & your pet- at no additional cost. "From the ashes, I rise again" just like a Phoenix. It's somewhat new & stull working on transferring art from Google Albums. Been doing this stuff on a professional level since I was about 14 or 15 so there's still a LOT to edit & transfer. If you would like to see more, let me know & I will send you a link to my Google Album! Habla Español, bilingual! Looking forward to spending time caring for your fur baby/babies!

Reviews

Carla took good care of my diabetic dog, fed and administrated insulin injection. Communicated really well, and left very detailed notes on her report. Thank you!

carla went above and beyond? my house is clean and my kitties loved her
Thank you for taking such good care of Peppa. It’s always hard to leave my fur baby for an extended time. Knowing she was in such good hands makes it so much better!! The daily pictures and videos melted my heart. Double thank you for the specialized Xmas card with Peppa’s pictures! You’ll be my go to Rover in the future!

Carla was great, she kept me very up to date and set lots of pictures. This was my first time having someone watch my cat while for a long while and she was very sweet and reassuring.
