Information Carl R. would like to know about your pet
We think it is really important to discuss how your dog is on their lead & their recall (and if you are happy for us to let them off where appropriate.) We also require information (and can advise on) nutrition, sleeping routines & general demeanour and/or issues.
A typical day
We are very fortunate to live 5 minutes drive from Rutland Water: fantastic for dog walking - short, medium & really long if needed, all with fantastic views for doggy pics. We are also experienced trainers and have a large garden for non-distraction beginners as well as the more challenging distractions of busy Rutland Water.

Pet care experience
We have both been dog owners all our lives, terriers & labradors (sadly lost our Choc Lab Lily last year). We are trusted with all our friends’ dogs and are currently training our neighbours’ 18 month Lab to walk to heel (see Super Hector in our profile picture) 😀 Carl works from home and Clare works every other weekend so we both have lots of time to be with your dog, walk them & care for them We look after our neighbours Lab 2-3 times a week, and due to the location and depending on what they have on sometimes at theirs and sometimes at ours

Carl and Claire were absolutely fantastic looking after our dachshund, Dottie. We needed a last-minute booking, and they were incredibly accommodating and responsive, which immediately put us at ease. They went above and beyond by asking thoughtful questions beforehand to make sure they fully understood Dottie’s routine and needs. While we were away, they kept us updated with plenty of photos and messages, which was so reassuring and lovely to see. It’s clear they genuinely care about the dogs they look after, and Dottie was happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for when we got back. We wouldn’t hesitate to book with them again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for reliable and caring sitters!
This was our first sleepover with Carl and we (Jack and his parents:) loved him! Jack had a great time and was treated like family. We got lots of photos/updates; which we really appreciated. Jack can’t wait until his next visit. Thank you so much!
What an experience my dog had for two days away, she seemed to of been treated like a princess The communication of sending pictures and updates was just amazing Literally couldn’t fault these dog sitters one bit
