Availability
Carl works from home and Marie is currently homeschooling Henry and Jack. When we do leave the house, it is no more than 2 hours at a time or we will let you know. We allow our dog the free roam the house, but we have room for a crate if that is preferred.

We have plenty of room for extra fur babies, and a fenced yard (3ft chain linked) for lots of outdoor play. Our 2 kids and young golden retriever help with keeping guests active and engaged. There is always room for one more so there may be other dogs during your pups stay.

A typical day
We love dogs. On a typical day we have 1 or 2 dogs and sometimes more. We also have a fenced yard if your dog likes to be outside. Marie is a stay at home mom so your dog will not be left alone for long periods of time.

Pet care experience
After 7 plus years of watching pets of all ages and activity levels for our friends and co-workers, we gained a lot of experience with dogs. Whether it was the dachshund with back issues that needed help up the stairs or pack of 6 Bulldogs including 4 puppies that needed constant stimulation, or the lazy golden retriever just just needed lots of cuddles, we were always up to the task. We took a break to start our own family. During this time we adopted our own dog Max, a Newfoundland mix, from a shelter. We helped him through lots of behaviour issues and learned a lot ourselves over the last 10 years. Most recently we have added, Hank, the golden retriever. He is our world ❤️. We hope you will allow our family to extend our experience and love for dogs to yours.

I can’t say enough wonderful things about Marie and Carl. Our sweet Henry ended up being sick while he was with them (he was sick with what we believed to be an upset stomach when we dropped him off). After a couple of days he wasn’t getting better and Marie took him to the vet and called me so I could be on the phone during his exam. He ended up with a couple of medications she administered for him during his stay and he fully mended while there. They were SO incredibly sweet to him and did an exceptional job of keeping me informed. We have had them watch Henry before and would never hesitate to recommend them.
Carl and Marie are so wonderful. We moved away from Kansas City last year but still chose to fly out of KC to have our dog stay with them while we were on a long trip. Highly recommend and wish we were closer so we could have our pup stay with them regularly again!
Carl and Marie are nothing short of phenomenal care takers to all dogs they take in. We have been taking our dog there for years now and he always comes back the happiest. When we last picked him up he didn’t even want to leave! They are very communicative and are sending plenty of pics to let us know he is being well taken care of. Cannot recommend them highly enough!
Carl and Marie are seriously amazing people to take care of your pet. We’ve been bringing Gus there for a few years and we wouldn’t take him anywhere else. They are so attentive and flexible. With every picture they send our pup is happy and we feel so good knowing we can enjoy our trips because he is getting taken care of so well. Five stars for every single stay he has had.
