I have been an absolute animal lover from a very young age and grew up with a dog and two cats. I worked at a Dog training and boarding center as a kennel attendant where I fed and cared for dogs everyday, attending to special needs such as distributing medicines and dietary restrictions. I also occasionally assisted my boss in training the dogs and cared for a litter of newborn Labrador retriever puppies! On top of this experience I volunteered at the MSPCA for a semester in college and had dog sat for two families in high school. I adore dogs and cats of all breeds, sizes, and ages!

I take the time to understand each animal’s personality and letting them warm up to me so I can ensure they are comfortable during their time with me. I always double check doors & gates, feeding schedules, and give consistent bathroom breaks. I will treat your home with respect and follow any specific instructions you have. Most importantly, I am always be gentle, patient, and loving with all animals!

Carissa is one of the most driven and responsible people I know. Sure, she's my daughter, but I never had to chase her to do things and she takes everything she's tasked with personally. Fretted over her grades while getting great grades all through her school years. She's also one of the kindest people I know, has a lot of friends and I love them all. I should know, we had 17 of them at home for Friendsgiving. AND she's fantastic with pets... the family dog, her Mom's cat, friends dogs - she spent time with a friend's dog every day while they were on vacation to the point that the dog waited at the door for her to show-up at her regular time even after the family got back home. I can assure you that whoever's pet she's looking after will be treated like her own.
Carissa is one of the most sensitive and caring people I know. Her ability to connect with and enjoy the life around her is very special, I would trust her with my dearest pet over anyone else.
Carissa has been absolutely incredible with my Aussie Doodle, Marc. She shows so much patience and enthusiasm on their walks, and Marc adores every minute they spend together. I never have to worry about his well being because she’s responsible, communicative, and genuinely cares about dogs. She goes above and beyond to ensure he’s exercised, happy, and safe. I can't imagine person more fitting for this job, she truly loves animals to the point that sometimes I think that she only hangs out with me to be around Marc. I couldn’t recommend her more highly!
Carissa is kind, trustworthy, responsible and an animal lover through and through, and will treat your babies like her own. She has experience giving medication, caring for very young puppies to older sick dogs, and everything in between - both dogs and cats. Not to mention the squirrels, turtles, frogs, and birds that she happens to often come across that need assistance. She’ll no doubt meet your needs and exceed your expectations.

Schedule
I will be in Palm Bay for the summer and don’t have any schedule conflicts at the moment! I am very flexible and can work mornings, afternoons, and evenings 7 days a week. :)
