I have taken care of my own and others’ pets for many years now. I am currently a veterinary assistant, which I am able to be around/work with pets for several hours and provide them with the best care possible. Prior to becoming a veterinary assistant, I have also spent my time volunteering in an animal clinic. Having the experience in an animal clinic exposed me to various animals with a wide range of sizes, relying on me to walk, bathe, nail trim, feed, and provide medication to their beloved pets. In addition to my volunteering experience + current job position, I have also worked at a doggy daycare facility, having the opportunity to understand different doggy behaviors as well as spending quality time with them!

I care for my pets by making sure they have everything they could imagine! My cats are specifically indoor, and I like to provide plenty of enrichments for them when I’m at home and when I’m off at work or school. I have a routine that sets them up for a proper feeding schedule that’s good for their diet and for their hygiene. Their additional daily care involves brushing their teeth everyday, clipping their nails once a month, and offering brushes every other week! As for my little pup, I ensure she gets plenty of exercise each day by going on walks, socializing with other pets, and constantly keeping up with her training for mental stimulation. For my clients, I provide care as if their furry companions were my own! I stick to the schedule that their paw parents have for them so that they can maintain their comfortable routine. My goal is to always go above and beyond! Informing owners with many delightful images of their companion(s) and describing how their day was for them is highly important, as it allows me to keep them informed that they are safe and well taken care of!

I’ve honestly lost count of how many times I’ve booked with Carissa! She’s now my go-to person for taking care of my fur babies. She is always incredibly attentive, thoughtful, and thorough, and my babies absolutely adore her! I’ve booked Carissa 8 times now and will continue to do so. She is very reliable and communicative. I always look forward to reading her very detailed and colorful reports along with funny pictures of my cats. She is also very attentive and vacuumed up litter that had tracked around the house without us asking her to. There was an instance where she figured out how to turn on the water valve (which I forgot I shut off) to refill the water fountain. She also brings in packages without us asking her to. I trust that my cats are in good hands when she comes over.
Carissa was a great catsitter for our two cats while we were away from home for a few weeks. She was very caring to our cats and was consistent in her text and picture updates to us every day. Carissa was thorough in her following of our instructions to care for our cats, and most importantly her friendly demeanor created an environment where our cats quickly became comfortable and friendly with Carissa. This caring and kind attitude was very much appreciated by our cats and they loved her affectionateness and willingness to play with them for their exercise and enjoyment while we were away from home for a period. If we leave our home again, we would definitely hire Carissa again. We strongly recommend her as a catsitter who is not only experienced in animal care but also a kind and friendly person who can naturally get along with any animal.

This is my third time booking Carissa for my two cats, and she is consistently amazing. My cats absolutely adore her, and she handles their extra care needs with so much patience and attention to detail. Schedule
I am currently a full time worker! I am able to accommodate times after my work days on the weekdays! My most flexible times for schedules would be Saturdays and Sundays as those are my usual days off! My calendar is always updated a month in advance and I am always welcoming to find something accommodating that works best for both you and I! Don’t hesitate to reach out and see if there’s a good time to set a perfect schedule!
