Cat lady who also loves dogs
Hello! I am Carissa. I am an American living in Diemen with my husband and my 16 year old cat! I have been pet sitting since I was in elementary school. I have always had cats in my life, as well as dogs of all sizes (from a Chihuahua, to a Collie). My mom is a veterinarian so I know a thing or two about caring for animals. I also worked in her clinic for a bit, so I’m good at handling pets, bottle feeding, administering pills and shots, and noticing when something is wrong. I have one cat currently, who is 17 years old that I rescued as a kitten. He has kidney problems now, so I give him pills and subcutaneous fluids daily. I also used to volunteer at a feral cat shelter in Los Angeles. I am great at managing even the most stressed and aggressive cats, these don’t scare me at all. I am excited to meet your furry friend! I send lots of pictures because I know how much that means to me when my own baby is being cared for. I like to do a meet and greet (free of cost) beforehand to get to know your individual needs.

I listen to what your pet tells me. If your kitty wants to cuddle the entire time, I cuddle. If she wants to sit in her cubby and hide, I can sit nearby and be a calming presence. I like to play calming music sometimes on my phone as well, which always helps my cat calm down. If your pet has a favorite genre of song, I am happy to play that!

Carissa was good for my cat. I got a daily report how it went with my cat with photo's. My cat was very happy with Carissa.
Carissa took care of my cat after she got some of her teeth extracted. She found a way to give the cat her medication without a problem. I know I can rely on Carissa any day!
Just a pleasure to have someone like Carissa to take care or our precious animal.
Carissa did a great job looking after my cat. She quickly figured out how to entertain her without any special instructions. Also, when my flight was cancelled, Carissa was flexible and able to care for my cat for an extra day. Really appreciated her help!
I have only good things to say about our experience with Carissa! Not only was she reliable but flexible when our initial travel plans had to completely change last minute. Never once did we feel our two cats were not in good hands and she sent many updates that included photos to ease our minds which was greatly appreciated. When we arrived home, our munchkins were also at ease and it was clear they enjoyed their time with Carissa =) We would highly recommend her to take care of your animal companions!
Carissa is very responsible and took great care of my cat Tashi for 2 weeks when I was away. I found Tashi calm and happy when I came back. I would definitely hire her again and recommend her.

Programa
My work schedule is irregular, since I work at a restaurant. Typically I am available before noon on the weekends, and until 3:30 on weekdays for pet care.
