Carissa can care for
Availability
I am a full time pet sitter, so my schedule is incredibly flexible in terms of how much one on one time I can provide your pets. With house sitting, I will typically stay at your house from evening until morning. The timing is dependent on what your pets are used to. If they are used to being home alone from 9AM-5PM, then that is the schedule I will follow. Despite being full time, I need to leave daily for a minimum of 4 hours to run errands, care for other clients, and care for my dogs. We can discuss specifics and expectations at the meet and greet. In certain circumstances (Mon-Thurs), I can provide 24/7 constant care for an additional cost. If you are interested in this service, please reach out and let me know that is what you need. I am not always able to accommodate this.

I offer house sitting and drop ins at the clients home, as well as walks. House sitting is great because, although your pets are with a new person, they are still in the comfort of their own home. And because of this, there are no additional stressors like other cats or dogs. It is incredibly important to me that you and your animals are comfortable and feel safe, that is my top priority. I will do frequent check ins with you if needed, if you prefer limited check ins, that is perfectly acceptable as well! I know the scary feeling of having to leave my dogs with a sitter, and I can assure you that I will do everything I can to make you and your pets feel at ease.
Information Carissa G. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know if there’s any important info that will be beneficial for me to know before caring for your pet! For example; their feeding schedule, if they’re reactive, or if they require any medication. No amount of information is “too much”. I love to know all the details and all of their little quirks.
A typical day
A typical pet sitting day for me if I’m house sitting: I will wake up and let them out to potty / clean litter boxes, then feed them. If they get a walk in the morning I would do that as well. After they have had their morning exercise and breakfast, I will leave for 4 hours. These hours are flexible but I do come and go for a few hours a day to tend to other things. Constant care (24/7 day and night) is a service I can provide in certain circumstances. The nightly rate is increased as I am not able to leave, accept other jobs, run errands, etc. I love to go on walks, play with toys, and do mentally stimulating exercises to tire them out! Some mentally stimulating exercises include treat puzzles, lick mats, and hiding treats around the house to do a scavenger hunt! Having a dog sniff and use their nose is a great way to mentally and physically tire them out! Especially when the weather isn’t great for outdoor activities. I like to follow your schedule as much as possible so these things will vary from pet to pet.

Full Time Fully Insured Sitter 🐾
Pet care experience
Hi!! Thanks so much for taking the time to check out my profile and for considering me to care for your pets! :) ─────────────────── I am insured by my own private insurance, PCI (Pet Care Insurance), as well as the Rover Guarantee. I pet sit full time (best job ever, I know!), so I am able to give your animals the time and attention they deserve. I will treat your pets as if they are my own. I have a Siberian Husky (Hiccup) and a Yellow Lab (Buster). I adopted Hiccup at 8 weeks old, so I have extensive experience caring for a puppy. I rescued Buster from White Paws German Shepherd Rescue when he was around 1 year old. Buster used to have severe separation anxiety, so I have experience dealing with that as well. I have been around animals my whole life. My family had 2 Black Labs (Bismark + Trademark), a Yellow Lab (Buck), and several kitties. Although I currently have 2 big dogs, the rest of my family are very much kitty people! I frequently pet sit for my sister’s 3 adorable cats. Oakley and Flea (brother and sister), and Spunky (a senior tabby she rescued from Oshkosh Humane Society. ─────────────────── Leaving your pets can already be nerve-racking. With house sitting, keeping them home and in a familiar place will make all the difference! I love to be active, so I’m open to lots of exercise and play time! ─────────────────── With new clients, I will require a meet and greet before accepting a booking request. A meet and greet is a visit in your home, typically around 30 min long. This one time visit is provided at no additional cost and is meant to make sure we are all a good fit.

So happy we found Carissa, she handles everything so well and our fur babies love her ❤️

This is the 1st time I used Rover an Im so lucky I did. Carissa G was our dog sitter for my 2 dogs. Had meet an greet with her she was very professional and personable. We went over all my dogs meds for my dogs our 10 an 12 yrs old. I ask if we could do another meet an greet so I felt ok with all there needs again she was awesome. So I was ready to leave them in her hands. Every day I got pictures of them eating, taken there meds, playing outside an even there walks (an she takes great pictures). I call her once just to chat an see how everything was going an she was right on it. An a side note she even water my outside plants an feed the birds. My house was exactly how I left it I could telldogs were excited to see me but they were so relax an not I'm stressed out.. I can't express enough how grateful I am for Carissa..

Carissa was, as always, a perfect sitter for us! Thank you for working with us!

This was our first time using Rover. Carissa was fantastic! She met with us and Benny beforehand and we discussed his schedule, different scenarios during walks, his likes and dislikes. She honestly thought of everything to ask to know about Benny. Then during her stay with Benny she always communicated how things were going, what they were doing, and sent lots of pictures. I feel Carissa was very attentive to his needs, would play with him, and give him lots of attention. Carissa was very professional, and I can tell she was very respectful of us and our home and Benny. I definitely plan to book with Carissa again. I am happy there is this service so Benny can stay home.
