Carissa was great with Gizzy

Carissa watched my sweet girl, Ruthie, for 8 hours the other night. Ruthie was recently rescued with severe separation anxiety and needs extra attention when her human leaves her. I cannot leave her for more than an hour alone as she rips up everything, has accidents and is at risk of hurting herself. She chewed through her hardwire, metal kennel under 2 hours. I have only been able to leave her with select humans that she has trusted, which often takes several days/weeks of interaction. With just 2 short days of knowing Carissa, Ruthie was the calmest she has ever been with a new human. She trusted Carissa and Carissa respected her much needed space and boundaries. I was at complete ease leaving her, which is often not the case. My family reflected “Carissa is a dog whisperer” which I agree. Carissa is happiest when she is around furry friends and your sweet pet would be lucky to have her watch over them and keep them safe and secure. It brought tears to my eyes knowing my girl, Ruthie, felt safe, protected, and at ease under Carissa’s watch. Carissa is not only a dog whisperer, she is a loving, kind, responsible, reliable, and gentle human. She will take care of your dog like she does with her own two dogs, like they are her family. She will give them love (if they want it), treats (if you allow them to have some) and long walks (when they need it). I have another wedding coming up and you know Carissa is my # 1 Rover to call. Thank you, Carissa, for your patience, kindness, and for listening to my Ruthie. We appreciate you!

My partner and I recently hired Carissa to look after our newly adopted Pitbull Chihuahua mix, Mia, for a long weekend. It was our first time away from our dog and Carissa went above and beyond to make sure that Mia felt cared for and at ease during our time away. She traveled from Rhode Island to Brooklyn to stay in our apartment and make sure that Mia's routine remained in tact. She looked after Mia and cared for her as if she were her dog, which we really appreciated. After she left, Carissa went out of her way to send us training materials and documents that she used in her experience training similar dogs to Mia. Overall, I couldn't' recommend Carissa enough as a dog sitter. She really cares about dogs - especially the "difficult" ones – and goes out of her way to make them feel comfortable and cared for.

Carissa was such a wonderful sitter for my rescue pup, Ted. She is extremely knowledgeable in dealing with rescue/timid dogs and made Ted feel super safe and trusted. Carissa goes above and beyond and you can easily tell she has a genuine love for dogs which has made her care distinguishable from my past dog sitters. Ted is always super excited to see Carissa and I can trust whenever I am gone that he is in the best hands.
