Let’s talk about… SAFTEY: Are they good with other dogs? (I can keep them separated) Are they good with kids? (There is an 11 yr old in the house most days who loves animals but I can keep them separated if necessary) Do they need to be crated when left alone? (Mine is a trouble maker and gets into everything when left uncrated. She’s just too smart for her own good. I don’t like crating dogs unless they are used to it and comfortable with it.) Do they have any quirky behavior? Are they door or food aggressive? Are they fence aggressive? FEEDING What times do they usually eat during the day? Are they allowed treats? How many? Which kind? Do you have commands or common things to say to get them to eat? Is there anything that dogs usually eat that your dog can’t eat? POTTY TIME Are they house trained? Do they go more easily on a walk, or off leash in the yard? How often do they have accidents in the house? Do they need assistance getting outside or to a potty pad? Do they eat poop? PLAY TIME Aware they high energy, low energy, or in between? Do they have any activity restrictions prescribed by a vet? Do they have any injuries? What types of play make them happy? Would they rather just cuddle up and get pets?
A typical day
It all depends on the personality and energy level of the pet. Playing fetch in a large yard or dogpark is my favorite activity for high energy dogs.

Pet care experience
I have a half acre of fenced in yard for dogs to run and play. I’ve had pets in my family my whole life: always dogs, a few cats over the years, a house rabbit, hamsters, ducks, fish, lizards, turtles - so many lovely creatures! I’ve worked with rescues and shelters and have taken care of elderly dogs at the end of their lifespan administering medications orally, injections, and topically.

Reviews

Super easy going, Bruno seemed to have fun with a friend to play with. Will definitely be using Carisa again!

My dogs came back tired and happy after their stay with Carisa and Hazel! She was extremely accommodating of my flight schedule and I can tell the puppies enjoyed their stay!

Carisa was absolutely amazing with my two dogs while I was away for work. We did a meet & greet beforehand, which made me feel completely comfortable trusting her with my babies and she exceeded all expectations. She sent me daily pictures and updates, which gave me so much peace of mind. She also has the sweetest, most beautiful dog of her own, which was an added bonus for my younger pup that has a lot of energy. 10/10 would recommend Carisa to anyone looking for someone loving and reliable to care for their fur babies!

I recently had the pleasure of having Titan cared for by Carisa, and I couldn't be happier! First time using Rover, so was very nervous but From the moment I met her, it was clear that she had a genuine love for dogs. She took the time to understand Titan's personality, needs, and routine, which made me feel at ease leaving him in her care. Throughout his stay he had playtime with her beautiful family dog, which Titan absolutely loved! I received regular updates and adorable photos, showing how well he was doing, which really put my mind at rest. When I picked him up, Titan was happy and exhausted from all the fun he had. It was evident that he was well cared for and loved during his time away from home. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring dog sitter. Thank you for taking such great care of our dog Titan.
