I work from home full-time, Monday-Friday. On weekends, we typically garden, cook, and go for walks or hikes. Snuggles, backyard playtime, and lots of interaction time are a critical part of my day with your dog.

I am a homeowner with a fenced yard in a gated neighborhood, a rescue mutt to keep your dog company, and a cat. My teenager is also a dog lover who spoils our Charlie. Dogs are allowed on the furniture and on the bed. I have dog beds, lots of water bowls, and time for pets. Our dog is a big hunk of love at 116 lbs, and I have always had big dogs. He LOVES having dog friends at the house.

Información que a Carin O. le gustaría saber sobre tu mascota
I would like to know how your dog is on walks, what time they like to eat, and if they are nervous, confident, etc. I want to provide a safe, welcoming, and loving experience for them.
Un día normal
In the morning, we take a drive to drop the kid off at school, and on the way back, we stop inside our gated community and take a walk. If your dog wants to go, they can, or they can stay home with my partner. Then it's breakfast time. After breakfast, they can go out in the backyard. For whatever reason, every dog I've sat with prefers to play in the living room! The house is totally dog-friendly. Then everyone piles into my office to sleep while I work. We take a mid-day potty break, or whenever they signal they would like to go out. After dinner, the dogs typically play ball or whatever game they choose. I take cuddle breaks with the dog about 2X per day and give lots of pets. When they get here, I give them time to settle in, show them around the house, take them outside, and let them know it's okay to get on the furniture. If they need extra time to get situated, I can do that. My work schedule is very flexible.

Experiencia en el cuidado de mascotas
I've been sitting big breed dogs and have had them since I was a kid. If I could, I would have a dozen of them, but for now, I will babysit your dog. I work from home, and my partner also has a flexible schedule, so they are usually around too, providing your dog with companionship, attention, and supervision throughout the day. Walks, backyard playtime, enrichment, and plenty of snuggles are part of my daily routine. We value kindness, inclusivity, respect, and emotional safety. Our home is a judgment-free zone for people and pets. I have a fenced yard, nothing to jump off, and a friendly rescue yellow Labrador/pittie mix who loves to play with dog visitors. He is also great at reading dog body language and at giving new visitors their space until they are ready to engage. I’m experienced with dogs who have restrictions - physical, food sensitivities or allergies - or just need extra time settling in. As a former volunteer with Southern California Labrador Rescue, I fostered and pulled dogs from shelters. I understand the unique needs — and big hearts — that often come with rescue dogs. I love both in-home boarding and house sitting. Staying in a client’s home gives me a peaceful change of scenery for my writing and allows dogs to stay comfortable in their familiar environment. I’m available to house sit throughout Southern California.

Great stay! Great communication and friendly!

Thank you so much for caring for Miller like he was your own! I love that Miller and your pup Charlie are new best friends, I’m sure he can’t wait to come visit again! Thank you for all the communication and for making sure he didn’t overdo it either! Thanks!

Carin and her family went above and beyond to make Jolene feel comfortable. Great updates while Jolene spent the weekend with her!

Jolene had a great 1st daycare visit. Carin was very patient with our shy girl. Looking forward to her 1st boarding visit. I know she will be in good hands.
