I'll love your pet as my own!
I've been a cat mom my entire life. When I take care of your pets, it's more than just food, water, litter/potty, and out the door. I take the time to play, give love, snuggles, pets, scritches, and just keep them company. I understand that pets need more than just the bare minimum. They need love, a sense of security, and comfort while you are away! I am lucky to have freedom in my schedule to be able to hang out for more 60+ minutes, even though the Rover standard is 30. I will often stay until your pet has eaten, played, got some love/snuggles, and is ready to settle in for naptime. I can sometimes work on my computer in client homes, to provide that extra bit of company - at no extra charge. I love getting new fur babies to warm up to me and let their unique personalities shine! So many people expect their cat to just hide scared while I'm there, but that isn't ok with me. I know that every pet is unique and I will find what YOUR pet needs to feel ok. I have experience with medically complicated cats as an owner and as a sitter, administering pills, subQ fluids, insulin and other injections, and sugar testing. I understand how important it is to keep our medically complex babies from getting stressed out and I do everything I can to ease their stress and keep them healthy and happy while you are away. I am also a firm believer in communication and will make sure you know how your babies are doing and what they have been up to. I give plenty of details and photos to help you enjoy your time away without having to worry about your sweet furball(s) back home.

Carie is the best! She treats our fur babies like her own, and she always keeps us updated. She makes sure she is aware of our pets’ health history too and keeps us updated on what she sees while we are gone. We always know they will be safe and happy with her.
Carie was awesome with my Blacklab Charlie. She always sent me pics of Charlie and took her on several long walks. Look forward to using her in the future!

Schedule
I work part-time Monday through Thursday and have a lot of flexibility in my schedule to be able to accommodate your needs. Daytime and nighttime, weekends and weekdays - I can meet the schedule that works best for you and your pet.

I can bring toys, treats, or even calming spray if you would like. I am patient and caring with all animals. I will go by your pets' time and let even the most timid know I'm there to help them relax and feel comforted.
Pets
A typical day
I meet your pets before my first visit so they can get to know me and I can learn their favorites and routines. Every visit is unique to the pet but always includes: - LOVE! I start every day/visit by giving them some love right away! - FOOD: This is what they are all about, isn't it? It's done on their schedule so they have a routine they are comfortable with. - MEDS: I administer any medications or supplements on schedule. I have experience giving oral meds, topical ointments, eye drops, and injections like insulin and SubQ fluids. - ENRICHMENT: I find activities to entertain them and get some energy out. Things like playing with their favorite toy, bubbles, going for walks, doing something new and exciting. I customize this to each pet. If there are multiple pets in your home, they will get their own fun time! I talk to them to soothe their anxiety. I often sit on the floor with them so they know they have my undivided attention. - CUDDLES: I love cuddle time, and if they are willing I'll be sure to get many cuddles in. - CLEAN UP: I will clean up any pet messes found (I'll be sure to let you know), the litterbox, doggie poop bags etc. I wash the dishes, wipe the counters, and take out the recycling/trash. - COMMUNICATE: I am a strong believer in communication. I share photos and details about your pet's day. My job is to keep you informed so your mind can be at ease, even while your heart is missing your fur baby. I also bring in mail or packages as needed, water any plants, and whatever else your house may require.
