I am an experienced home sitter with the ability to handle daily needs and emergencies competently, who is at the top of anyone's list when asked who they most associate with animal love and care. I pride myself on connecting with pets on their level while following pet owner requests with exact detail. Don't be shy about asking for your own expectations of what care would look like - all of us have quirks or different ways of treating our pets and most pets have some behavior issues. The only animals that I will not accept are those which require above-average exercise, such as jogging or biking. I am extremely respectful of privacy and my only interest is getting to know your pet(s) and keeping them safe, happy and satisfied. My schedule is flexible and I work from home so your fur babies would not be crated/left alone for more than a couple of hours at a time when necessary. 'Leave it better than you found it' is my general motto. I don't drink or smoke and I bring everything I might need with me, including food. While dogs are my main love, I am happy to sit for cats, fish, turtles, birds, hamsters, chickens, reptiles etc. as well. Let's connect - I can't wait to meet your pets and make sure we're a match.

Whether your pets run the home or you run the pets (and everywhere in between), I will treat your pets how YOU want them to be taken care of. I'm happy to continue whatever training methods you use while you're away or lay on the couch with them "all day," if that is what your pet is used to. I accept and discount multiple-pet homes, especially if there is a fenced in yard or they already walk well together on a leash. I have experience with and understand the importance of medications being administered at a precise time. You can count on me - and I'm happy to send a message each time it's done, if you'd like. Your animals will be well-loved and cared for!

Cari was incredibly kind, understanding, and reliable. This was the first time we ever left our pet with a sitter, and we felt 100% comfortable. We were able to meet beforehand, and her professionalism and genuine care really stood out to us. She calmed our anxiety, made our pet comfortable enough to keep her regular routine, left our home incredibly clean, and was extremely responsive. Cari did a great job during a drop in with Honey! She was able to let her out twice and get her to take her meds even though she is anxious and wary of people coming into the house. Cari is a great communicator too! I would definitely recommend her and plan to use her again.
This was our first time with Cari. She’s very nice and my dogs seemed to like her. I felt very comfortable leaving g my dog with her today.

Schedule
My rates are a reflection of my ability to provide high quality care for your pets nearly 24/7. I feel that this arrangement is especially stabilizing for pets with anxiety, medical needs or significant behavior issues (hello puppies and strong breeds! 🥰)- but it also provides peace of mind for owners. Please note: I'm willing to travel up to one hour away. However, if you are 25+ minutes away from Shoreview, I'll ask you to book a Drop In when we set up our Meet & Greet to cover time and travel. Things I'm learning about the app: If you need to change times or dates after the initial request, I can and am happy to modify those within the original request. Please do not submit multiple requests, as this makes my stats look like I deny a lot of people, which I do not! I am currently unable to accept high energy pets that require more than two walks per day (or running etc.) and, unfortunately, it's highly unlikely that I'm able to sacrifice an entire weekend for a one night stay, so please consider me not the right match for you in those circumstances. However, if I show up as available for a one night stay during the week, feel free to send a request and I'll do my best to fit you in! Also, I keep my calendar updated so if I've shown up in your search, you can be 98% sure I am available. Please try to be fairly certain you're ready to book and understand my rates before making a request. I appreciate this help with more accurately navigating the way this app calculates stats! My schedule fills up quickly, so the further ahead you can book, the better. It is not too soon to book year-end holidays! Most of my family wraps the holidays up into one weekend of 'ThanksMas' in early November so if you have to leave your babies at home for your celebrations, I've got you covered!
