Hello, my name is Cari. I've learned the joy that comes with helping people keep their pets in their own homes when their owners are away. Growing up we had pets ranging from hermit crabs, birds, hamsters and always more than one cat. My parents strongly believed in teaching responsibility so taking care of the pets was integrated at a young age. Currently I have two dogs, two cats and two fish of my own and deeply feel that our pets are our family. I’m committed to providing them with the devotion they provide us and would treat your pets how I would want my treated. Aside from being a life time pet owner I’m an active volunteer at the Buffalo animal shelter which has given me experience with dogs of varying size, breeds and temperaments. I have been lucky enough to foster a senior dog and helped him find a loving family to live out his golden years. I also volunteered at the SPCA wildlife department and passed a course in wildlife rehabilitation. I am certified in both human and pet first aide. I do currently work as a licensed registered nurse for a certified home care agency so am familiar with the privilege of entering somebody’s home to care for a loved one. I understand the importance of building trust through communication, honesty, respect and reliability. I’m currently on a hybrid schedule so I have flexibility to provide the time for your pets that I would want for mine if I was away. I aim to provide professional, dependable, nurturing care for your pets and strive to give pet owners peace of mind and security. I believe in the importance of a meet and greet to ensure all parties feel comfortable with the arrangement. I understand the uncertainty involved in hiring a sitter for a pet and home and hope for the opportunity to work with you.
