My goal while caring for your pet is to maintain their peace. I emphasize mental and physical stimulation in my care for your animal and maintain a peaceful environment. My special skillset is high energy and working dog breeds. I enjoy the challenge of meeting a dog's daily need for mental and physical exercise. I pay attention to the personality of each animal to cater their care to their unique needs. Whether your dog has a confident or meek personality, I look forward to learning how to help them thrive. If your dog has to be away from you, they should be with someone 1) knowledgeable about their needs 2) who will truly love them. Playing this role in a pet owner's life is a high honor for me. A few of the breeds I’ve worked with: Doberman, German Shepherd, Bernese Mountain Dog, Husky, Musterlander, Cocker Spaniel, Great Pyrenees, Pit Bull, Dalmatian, Border Collie, German Wirehair Pointer, Golden Retriever, Poodle, Labrador, Havanese, Shih Tzu, Beagle, Chihuahua, Pomski. I take care of animals through Rover and also privately. My primary work is with dogs, but I also have experience with cats, including special needs cats and cats requiring medical maintenance.

Cara did a fantastic job taking care of our home and dog for a week. Our house was spotless and our dog was so happy and calm when we came home. She is not only responsible and great with communication, she is also a lovely person. She even left us a sweet note. We will definitely use her again!

Cara is amazing with our mini Aussie Tito! She was so thorough and thoughtful when it came to understanding Tito’s personality on his first day with her. Sent lots of pics and videos of Tito which we loved, and we are so happy we found someone great in cincy to watch him :)
Cara is one of the best sitters I’ve ever used and would highly recommend her to anyone. Clover had an amazing time playing with Maya and came home happy and tired! I felt nothing but comfortable the entire weekend I away. It’s clear Cara has a ton of experience with dogs and I also got a bunch of updates throughout the trip!
Cara was amazing - she stayed in our home and took care of our 2 dogs for an extended period of time. She was responsive to our texts and sent us photos and messages about the dogs. Cara was willing to be flexible when our flight was delayed coming home and we came home to a spotless house. She thought of everything! She even left us a lovely note. I highly recommend her as a dogsitter.

Schedule
As a student, I have a flexible schedule within which pet care fits seamlessly. My husband Tony helps me specifically with dog care for the dogs who come to stay in our home. We spend a lot of time at home with our husky, Maya. Maya has a mild temperament and will offer peaceful company to your pet during stays at our house. Our home is both neat and clean, with a backyard we utilize for exercise. Your pet will enjoy the quiet atmosphere in between playtimes. Past guests provide superb feedback on our house activities, which include window watching, napping privately in tucked-away corners, and backyard exploration.

My attention to detail and thoughtfulness are two strengths you can count on while your pet is with me. You can expect me to be competent, trustworthy, warm, and communicative. Comfortable using an E-Collar and willing to learn your dog’s commands in order to maintain consistency in their routine. I value cleanliness in my own home and in yours. When housesitting, I aim for you to come back to your home as clean as how you left it.

A typical day
I am a firm believer that dogs are at their best after sufficient exercise. Please brief me on your dog’s favorite types of exercise. Further, I believe in walks full of pauses for sniffing.
