Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I'm currently flexible with my time, which means I can reliably commit to drop-in visits at consistent times that work for you and your pet. Routine matters to animals, and I take that seriously.

Safety, trust & environment
I always prefer to meet a pet and their owner before any booking is confirmed — it matters to me that your pet is comfortable with me, and that I understand their environment, their quirks, and exactly what they need. For cats especially, I'm mindful of keeping doors secure, respecting their space, and leaving everything exactly as I found it. You'll get an update after every visit without having to ask.
Information Cara Lee D. would like to know about your pet
A few things that help me look after your pet well: I have a lifelong love of sight hounds and would especially welcome the chance to care for them — though I'm happy with any breed and any personality type, from the velcro dogs to the independent ones. Before any booking I'd love a brief intro message about your pet's personality, routine, and any specific needs. A quick meet beforehand is something I always ask for. For pets with medical needs — including those requiring injections — I'm willing to help provided you're able to show me what's needed. I've cared for pets with complex needs before and I don't shy away from it.
A typical day
For drop-in visits, my focus is simple: your pet gets fed, checked over, and given proper attention — not a rushed in-and-out. If they want a fuss, they'll get one. If they'd rather be left in peace with a full bowl, I'll respect that too. I pay attention to how they seem on each visit and will flag anything that doesn't look quite right.

Pet care experience
I grew up in South Africa surrounded by dogs, cats, and horses — animals have been a constant in my life for as long as I can remember, and that instinct to care for them has never left me. Now based on the West Sussex coast, I offer drop-in visits for pets who just need someone reliable, calm, and genuinely attentive while their owner is away or at work. I'm not just ticking a box — I take the time to make sure your pet is comfortable, settled, and properly looked after. I'm highly organised and communicative, so you'll always get an update after each visit. No guessing, no anxiety on your end — just peace of mind that someone who actually loves animals is showing up for yours. If you want someone who'll treat your pet like their own for those in-between moments, I'm here.
