I have grown up with dogs all my life. My daughter in law calls my home a dog's country club. I live in the country on the Bayou Teche. I have an acre and a half fenced in. I have a doggie door that is open while I am home. I have tile floors . I walk my dog everyday in the cane fields. I do leash work with dogs. I am a gardener so I am outside most of the day and always have time to play with the dogs. I do have caged African grey birds in my house. It is not unusual to see a dog sleeping on my sofa. When it is warm dogs swim in my pool. I have a separate fenced in area for my chickens and peacocks as well as my garden. I just lost my labradoodle due to kidney failure, which was genetic, so I can take care of your sick dog. I have taken care of all size dogs and all my children have dogs of their own. I love people that love animals and have told my children to live where animals are allowed. Most people find that their pets have gone on vacation while their owners are on vacation. I am usually a 30 minute drive from Lafayette but well worth it! Once a dog has stayed at my home their owner says when they come back that their dog knows where they are going and start wagging their tail! Take a ride to the country and know that your dog is on vacation while you're on vacation!
