We treat your dog like it our own!
We are a nearly retired couple who have owned dogs for the last 33 years. We live in a small child-free home with a fenced backyard, but your dog will never be left outside alone. We actually have walked all of our dogs twice a day, for their exercise and ours. We would prefer small dogs under 25lbs. Why I love dog sitting We have owned dogs for the last 33 years. Most of ours have been Shih-tzus, 5 in total. We did have one poodle/fox terrier. Meet my pets One shih-tzu, 10 lbs. About my yard We have a medium 30 x 30 foot backyard which is fenced. A good portion of the yard is taken up by the flower garden, and the deck. We do not ever leave a dog unattended in the yard. My experience administering medication We have experience giving shots to dogs when needed. We also administer medications as prescribed.

My husband is retired, and I work part time. There is almost always someone at home. We keep a regular routine which keeps dogs feeling safe.

Here's where we'll take our walks We live in a very pleasant, walkable community. When we owned our own dogs, the were given walks through the neighborhood twice a day. Your dog's sleeping arrangement If your dog is accustomed to sleeping with people, we will let the dog sleep with us. If the dog is trained to sleep in a dog bed, we will honor that. Time I'll spend with your dog Your dog will be left alone at the most, 6 hours a day. Usually myself or my husband are at home, but some days our working hours overlap.

- We prefer dogs under 25 lbs. Things we would like to know, in order to keep your dog on a familiar schedule: Is your dog used to being fed once a day, or do you leave the food down? Do you allow your dog table scraps, or does this cause stomach problems? Where would you prefer your dog to sleep? Does your dog enjoy meeting new people? If your dog is shy, we will avoid having company during the visit. Does your dog have a regularly scheduled play time, and what do they prefer to do: fetch? chase people around? run? chase squirrels? Does your dog have any physical problems we should be aware of? Does your dog have any emotional problems we should be aware of?
