Availability
I work full time from home, which means your dog is never alone — I'm present throughout the entire day. I build regular walk breaks into my routine and am available for potty breaks, check-ins, and attention consistently from morning to evening. I do not offer overnight stays for dogs who bark frequently, as I work from a home office and attend live virtual sessions frequently and live in an apartment building.

Safety, trust & environment
Your dog's safety is my top priority. I use a tie-out cable in the greenspace directly behind my building for supervised outdoor time, giving dogs a chance to sniff and explore safely. All outdoor time is supervised — I do not leave dogs unattended outside. I am experienced with dogs that need extra management and will always follow your lead on handling instructions, triggers, and routines. I live in an apartment with direct access to greenspace right out the back — perfect for quick breaks and longer sniff sessions. There are no other dogs in the home, making this a great fit for dogs who prefer being the only pet or who don't do well with other animals. The space is calm and quiet, ideal for dogs who thrive in a low-stimulation environment. Please note that dogs who bark excessively may not be a good fit due to apartment living. I welcome a meet-and-greet before any booking — it's the best way to make sure it's a great fit for everyone, especially for reactive or anxious dogs who need a warm introduction.

Home all day. Every dog welcome.
Pet care experience
I have hands-on experience caring for senior dogs and reactive dogs, understanding the extra patience, routine, and attentiveness both require. I'm comfortable reading canine body language and adapting my approach to each dog's comfort level. I prioritize low-stress handling and keep energy calm and consistent throughout the day.
Reviews
Candace is a phenomenal, kind & caring person who loves animals. She’s well versed in dogs potential behavioural issues and has taken basic & reactive dog training courses. I feel at ease with her looking after my large, leash reactive dog.
Candace is so great with my girls! She is reliable and experienced with walking reactive dogs and knows how to navigate situations when encountering other dogs, especially off leash. She is a an animal lover and will take great care of your fur babies!
Candace is an absolutely fantastic caregiver for pets. She takes care of our boy often, and he's a quirky boy. He's very particular and likes things a certain way, has medical challenges, and can be reactive (selectively). Candace is very good at managing all those challenges and keeping our Spin still very happy. She is one of his favorite people, and it was love at first sight! She's got a wonderful energy that our boy gravitated towards. Highly recommend her services! We adore having her support.
