Hello! My name is Cana. I have been professionally pet-sitting with Rover since around 2017, as well as a lifetime of personal experience. Additionally I have interned under a local certified trainer the past few years and am working towards my professional certification. I am looking forward to a career in dog training. Growing up on a farm my entire life, I learned the value of animals, and how the way they are treated affects our relationship to them. Living and working with lots of different critters has given me a huge sense of responsibility & fun, as well as knowledge of the need for flexibility for the animal as an individual. Dogs and cats especially have always been a large part of my life. I grew up never having less than one dog or cat in the house, and most of the time, it was a few more than that! Working with animals large and small, and of varying behaviors is not an issue for me, and I thrive on challenges. I've worked with animals from horses to hamsters. I've also worked specifically with dogs, having been part of the dog show community some years back. I'm hoping to be a great fit for you and your pals. Working in the restaurant industry I'm semi-flexible schedule wise, and I am more than willing to do home stays(your home) and take care of other pets like cats, small critters, and even livestock/farm animals as well. I hope you'll consider giving me the privilege of getting to know you and your companions! Additionally I'm very comfortable administering medication in different forms. I do not have experience with injections but I am happy to be walked though it.
