10+ Years of Loving Pet Care I’ve been caring for friends’ and neighbors’ pets for more than 10 years, including dogs, cats, rabbits, ducks, chickens, and other animals with different personalities and needs. I’ve also cared for a special-needs dog for over five years, which taught me to be especially patient, observant, and attentive to small changes in behavior and routine. As a freelance designer, I work from home with a flexible schedule, which gives me plenty of time and attention to dedicate to your pets. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals—not just keeping them safe, but playing with them, giving them enrichment, and making sure they feel comfortable and loved while you’re away. I’m caring, detail-oriented, communicative, and happy to follow your pet’s specific routine and instructions. Every pet is different, and I take the time to learn what makes yours happy and comfortable.

A Safe, Respectful & Clean Environment Your home and your pet’s routine are important to me. During drop-in visits, I’ll treat your home with the same care and respect I would want someone to show mine. I’ll follow your instructions carefully, keep doors and gates secure, make sure your pet has access to fresh water and a safe environment, and leave everything clean and in its proper place. I’m starting with drop-in visits so I can focus on giving your pets attentive, one-on-one care in the environment they already know and feel comfortable in. I’m also very careful about keeping your home secure and untouched beyond what is necessary for your pet’s care. For pets who may eventually need care in my home, I have a fenced backyard and a comfortable home environment. I would only accept pets who are a good fit for my household and would discuss their specific needs with you beforehand. Most importantly, I believe good pet care starts with communication. I’m happy to send photos and updates during visits so you can relax knowing your pet is safe, happy, and well cared for.

Claire (Can) is a meticulous, caring, and diligent caretaker of dogs and cats. She is great at making our dog with disabilities feel comfortable and entertaining her with gentle games and activities. She is able to take care of animals with special needs such as mobility and dietary restrictions. She also works a flexible schedule and can meet your specific needs and instructions.
Can (Claire) took really good care of my border collie, Latte. Of course she fed, played, took her to walks, and sent me all the pictures, but I really knew she was great to Latte because when I took Latte back to her another time, Latte immediately recognized her and wagged her tail excessively/almost jumped to hug her - Latte remembered who treated her well!
I had a great experience having Claire take care of my two cats while I was away for two weeks. She stopped by every day to feed them their pre-prepared meals, spend time playing with them, and make sure they were happy and comfortable. She was reliable, attentive, and took great care of our home as well. When we came back, the cats were happy and everything was clean and in order. I would absolutely trust Claire with our pets again! Highly recommend. 5-star!
Claire helped us care for our Golden Terrier and cat while we were in Hawaii for two weeks, and we couldn’t have asked for a better pet sitter. She welcomed both pets into her home and gave them plenty of attention, playtime, and affection throughout our trip. She was attentive to their different needs, kept us updated, and made sure they were comfortable and happy. We came home to two relaxed, happy pets! We would definitely trust Claire with them again.

Schedule
My Schedule I’m a freelance designer and work primarily from home, so my schedule is relatively flexible. I’m currently focusing on drop-in visits in the West LA/Culver City area and can often accommodate different schedules depending on your pet’s needs. I’ll always confirm the visit time with you in advance and do my best to be consistent and reliable. If your pet has a specific feeding, medication, exercise, or care routine, please let me know—we can work together to find a schedule that keeps them comfortable.
