I previously worked at a dog shelter, where I interacted with a range of pups (different breeds, sizes, and needs). From that shelter I adopted my special little (45lbs) girl who was not dog friendly and who needed a certain structure on her walks. As the years went her needs changed, and in March 2026 we lovingly said goodbye, and she crossed the rainbow bridge. What I have taken with me in my many years of experience, and stress to all clients, is that each dog has their needs and each pet parent has learned what is best for their pup. So if that's to spin around 3 times with their food to make sure they eat, or avoid eye contact to help them feel comfortable, or to greet them just outside of their home because they pee with excitement, then that's exactly what I do. (Two of these 3 things are indeed real life doggy needs I've done to accommodate the pup!) I understand the need for shorter walks for seniors, training for puppies, medications at certain times for special cases etc. I have no judgement against muzzles and I know from my own experience that's usually an indication of a careful owner, ensuring their family member is safe. (My baby used to wear a muzzle to the pet store and the vet to ensure she and those around were cared for). I will ask many questions about the routines, to ensure that your family member is the happiest they could possibly be!

As a fellow pet owner, I am very protective about who takes care of my dog, Arrow, when I am not around. Although Arrow doesn't have any behavioral issues, he is a pitty so I constantly worry about him (ie. him getting loose, misbehaving on a walk etc). For that reason, I don't board him (he gets stressed easily) when I go on vacation but instead find someone I trust to take care of him. Camille has looked after Arrow many times and she treats him like her own dog. She's worked with many dogs before (some with behavioral problems) and she's confident in handling dogs of all shapes and sizes. Arrow absolutely adores Camille and loves going on walks with her or snuggling up on the couch. She sends pictures and updates to assuage my worrisome habits which always make me smile - there is nothing better than having a picture of your tired pooch after a long walk when you are gone. I have never worried about Arrow's safety with her and I know he's probably having a better time than I am. I completely trust Camille in taking care of my pets when I am gone and I know she'll give them the same tlc each and every time!
Camille is incredibly experienced in dog handling and dog sitting. She has worked with dogs at a no-kill shelter as a kennel attendant and owns her own dogs as well! She shows so much comparison towards any animal that comes her way. I know firsthand that she fantastic at what she does!
Camille Bermudez is a dog loving enthusiast. She has the ability to deal with the different personalities canines have. As a kennel attendant where Camille volunteered, I have seen first hand her one on one devotion and love she gives the dogs. I highly recommend her as an experienced dog sitter/handler.
My name is Ricardo Rojas, owner and head trainer for Elite Pup Training. As a professional in my field I don't just watch and observe dogs only, but their human counterparts as well. Watching Camille around various shelter dogs and even just dogs in general, I can tell she has a natural knack for her furry friends. Seeing how she has patience when working with both people and dogs (she was a kennel attendant and an adoption counselor). She shows some of the most important traits needed when working with any type of pet. I would most certainly recommend her for the care of your furry friends.
Camille took excellent care of my high-energy mutt when I went out of town for several days. Meatball seemed relaxed and happy when I got home, which I attribute to Camille providing him with an excellent balance of boundaries and affection. My dog can get a little bratty and anxious if not given sufficient guidance, but Camille knew exactly how to keep him on his best behavior. I would trust her with my dog again in a heartbeat!

Schedule
I currently work full time, however I now that my pup is gone, I have some time to help others. I have some weekend availability, and in November and December will have more time! (As I will not be working those months)

Safety, trust & environment
I can easily take care of your pup in your home. However I also have an apartment that can host your pup. I have a dog proof apartment but would need to do a few things to make it puppy proof (which I am happy to do so!) I do have a crate, so if they are crate trained that's wonderful! But no big deal if not. The apartment does have a yard, but it is not fenced in, so more likely we would be on leash when outside and we would go to the park near by (not dog park though).
Pets
A typical day
Anything that your pup would love! If they're a big hiker, I am happy to take them in my Subaru Forester and take them up for a hike. If they need some mental stimulation, I'm happy to set them up with a sniff matt or do some training. If they need a slowe pace of life with little chaos, I've got tons of places that are more slow and quiet. If they're super social and need other dog friends, I can take them up to Point Isabel and walk there. Seriously, they deserve to be living their best life, so I am more than happy to accommodate! You just tell me what you are ok or not ok with and I'll work with those parameters!
