About Camilla H.

Safety, trust & environment

I would love to care for your pet in the place they are most comfortable - their own home! And I will take them for walks in their neighborhood, with all the sights and smells they are used to!

Information Camilla H. would like to know about your pet

To make sure every visit is as safe and smooth as possible, I like to start with a clear understanding of your pet’s health and safety needs. It’s incredibly helpful to know about any allergies, chronic conditions, or specific medications they require, along with the contact information for your preferred veterinarian and a local emergency clinic. Knowing their vaccination status also helps me ensure that every animal I work with stays healthy and protected. Understanding your pet’s behavior and temperament is just as important for a successful outing or hang-out session. I always ask about any specific triggers, like how they react to squirrels, loud trucks, or meeting other dogs on a leash so I can navigate our walks safely. I also want to be consistent with the "house rules" you’ve already established, whether that means keeping them off the furniture or knowing which rooms are strictly off-limits. If your pet deals with separation anxiety, let me know their favorite comforting rituals, like leaving a radio on or giving them a specific toy, so I can help them settle in comfortably after I leave. Finally, I want to be fully prepared for the daily logistics and routine that make your pet feel at home. It’s great to have a quick rundown of where you keep the leash, waste bags, and cleaning supplies, as well as exact feeding portions and where the treats are hidden. For dogs, I’ll need to know their preferred walking equipment, like a harness or gentle leader and if there are any favorite local routes they especially enjoy. Having clear instructions for home access, like alarm codes or key locations, ensures I can get in and out smoothly, so our focus stays entirely on your pet.

A typical day

When I’m hanging out with your pets, I like to make sure every visit is the highlight of their day! My goal is to keep them moving, keep their brains busy, and make sure they feel totally pampered while you’re away. On our walks, it’s about more than just a bathroom break. I tailor the pace to whatever your dog needs, whether that’s a high-energy power walk or a slow "sniffari" where they get to explore all the neighborhood news with their nose. I love switching up our routes to keep things exciting, and I always sneak in a little "sit" or "stay" practice with treats to keep their manners sharp. During drop-in visits, I focus on giving them my full attention. We’ll dive into interactive play, like a focused game of fetch or tug-of-war for the dogs, or some feather-wand chasing for the cats. If they’re more into "brain games," I love setting up quick scavenger hunts or using puzzle toys to keep them occupied. Of course, it’s not all high-energy; I always carve out plenty of time for quiet companionship. Whether that’s some dedicated backyard sunbathing, a good brushing session, or just some quality couch snuggles, I want them to feel safe and loved. I also handle the essentials like refreshing their water, serving meals exactly on schedule, and keeping everything tidy. I’ll always wrap up our time by sending you a quick update and some cute photos, so you can see exactly how much fun we’re having!

I’ll love your pet like my own!

Pet care experience

I’ve been surrounded by animals my entire life and truly can’t imagine a home without them. Growing up, I cared for pets of all kinds, which helped me become comfortable and confident with different breeds, sizes, and temperaments. As an adult, I’ve continued that passion by owning and caring for my own pets, giving me hands-on experience with daily routines, training basics, and recognizing each animal’s unique needs. In addition to my own pets, I’ve regularly cared for the pets of family and friends, whether it’s walking, feeding, administering basic care, or just making sure they feel loved and comfortable while their owners are away. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet, and I treat every animal as if they were my own, with patience, attention, and lots of affection.
